To be honest, I couldn't decide between two and three stars. I just wanted to let you know that I received the two-star rating. version of a piece For starters, the paddle is simple to use. When I got off the board, it floated perfectly in fresh water with no issues. It didn't cause any issues when used while standing, and it appears to be quite sturdy. br>br>However, the issue is the adjustable aspect: in order to adjust the length on the two-person chair, you must first adjust the length on the two-person chair. A small u-shape is included in the model. You must remove a shaped plastic piece from the shaft. The metal is then slid up, the holes are lined up, and the plastic piece is replaced. When you're out on the water, this is far from practical and nearly impossible to do on the fly. To make matters worse, the plastic piece is designed in such a way that I can barely get it back on at home, let alone while on the water. Just getting it back on takes all of my strength, and you have to make sure the holes line up. If I accidentally rotate the shaft while attempting to reinstall the plastic, the holes do not line up. But, once again, the main issue is that it takes a lot of effort just to put it back on properly. I'm not sure I'd be brave enough to try this on the water. For one thing, I'd be afraid of misplacing the small plastic piece, and I'd have to do it while seated on the board. br>br>I, for one, enjoy alternating my positions on the board, preferring to stand, kneel, and sit and paddle at different times. It might be possible to put the paddle in the same position as when I'm standing and try to use it kneeling, but it'll be impossible if I'm sitting. It would have been better if they had designed the adjuster as a swing-arm. a style adjuster that is more easily locked in place I would have given this a 5-star rating if it wasn't for that. a rating of five stars However, it appears that the company does not recognize the significance of the adjustable feature.
It is not recommended for use in salt water. I purchased this paddle nine months ago and have used it ten times since then. For a variety of reasons, 15 times. First and foremost, I was a complete novice who did not want to waste money on a paddle if I did not intend to continue with this activity. Second, the idea of a three-person team appealed to me. a two-piece paddle that could be disassembled to fit in the trunk Third, it sounded tough and like something I'd use a lot (which meant I'd be out on my board a lot!). br>br>For the price, and as a complete beginner, I would recommend this paddle. It also allows you to swap with people of different heights because it is easily adjustable. The longer you make the paddle, the shakier it becomes because you don't have as much of the top rod in the middle section for support, but the three different pieces worked out perfectly. However, after about three or four uses, I noticed that it became a little difficult to disassemble; each time I used it, I was careful to disassemble it and thoroughly rinse and dry it because I was concerned about salt water exposure. The other reviews suggested that it would be fine. I kept using it because I could still take it apart. br>br>Now for the bad news. The top section snapped last weekend when I went out for the first time in two months. I'm not sure if it's really built to withstand the force of trying to catch waves by digging in. Is it possible that the alloy was corroded by the salt water? With each use, it became noticeably less powerful. It's a shame it broke, but it can still be used if I shorten it enough that some of the top section rod fits into the middle section. br>br>Overall, not a bad product; however, don't expect it to last if you plan to use it in salt water on a regular basis.
I received the paddle, and it appears to be sturdy and light, with a blade that I like. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because there's a small amount of play between the two pieces due to the locking mechanism; apparently, the knob that holds the two pieces together fits a little loosely in the holes. I'm not sure how much this will bother me on the water, and I'm also not sure if this is a problem with all of their paddles or just mine.
So this paddle surprised me to say the least; I like to think I rip it up on my paddle board, and I'm used to really tough carbon fiber paddles, so I was skeptical that it was made of plastic and alloy. In your hands, the plastic handle feels extremely cheap. br>br>However, this bad boy stands the test of time. It's extremely light, and it allowed me to shred in ways I'd never done before. This is a fantastic paddle, and I'm very happy with it. I wouldn't ride it on giants, but it tore up 4 - With it, I'm going to be able to shoot 5 footers all day.
This was purchased as a backup paddle board for friends, and I purchased a more expensive one as my primary paddle board. But this is now my primary paddle, and it's great. It's lighter than my fiberglass paddle, and it paddles better and faster. I'm definitely going to buy another one of these!.
This is an excellent deal. I enjoy a variety of water activities such as stand-up paddling and kayaking. Paddleboarding is something I do frequently. The money spent on this paddle was well spent. Let's take a look at it from a different perspective. The cutting edge: grip with both hands: The only thing I believe could be improved is the overall quality of the product. It's made of hard plastic that isn't particularly durable. It gets the job done, to be sure. The shaft is made of aluminum, and if you don't rinse after using salt, you'll end up with a lot of salt crystals in the foam. And all over the place. The throat: Yes, there is a pool noodle inside to keep it afloat if it gets lost. is a good value for money. And here's a hint: With ease, he cut his way through the water. Once again, you get what you pay for, but this is an excellent purchase.
I like that it's made by a small, family-owned business in the United States. The paddle floats just like it says it will, making it a great replacement for the one I had before that didn't. Once you've figured out how to do it, it's very simple. I wish the instructions had been clearer, and I'm concerned that someone will try to adjust my paddle without thinking, breaking it.
I've been looking for a paddle like this. It's small and floats! I'm just getting started and wasn't sure what length I'd want in a fixed high-priced paddle, so I'll figure out what length works best for me with this adjustable paddle and then upgrade to a much better (and more expensive) paddle later.
