On the first outing, the clasp that connects the paddle to the main bar broke! It's ridiculous. Also, without loosening the clasp with a screwdriver, you can't connect two main parts. Who wants to do that in the middle of the ocean while paddling a kayak? It was a huge let down. This isn't a low-cost item. UPDATE: The company was quick to respond and send a replacement. It's wonderful to be in the water. I'm sure I got a one-star review. a faulty item It gets a 5 out of 5 rating.
For windy conditions, a double blade paddle is highly recommended; a single blade simply will not suffice. This is an adequate paddle; however, the mechanism for changing from single to double blades, which is a nice feature, necessitates the use of a screwdriver rather than a snapping mechanism, which is inconvenient. So I take two paddles, a single blade and this one set up as a double paddle, which is a lot to deal with but necessary for safety and comfort; also, I have to use it sitting down because it's not long enough to use double bladed from a standing position. It's possible that I could have gotten by with only a kayak paddle. I'm a newbie recreational SUPer who's only been out on lakes, so I've only used it a few times, and it's been fine.
The paddle piqued my interest, and it appeared to be more durable than the ones I'd borrowed previously. However, despite tightening the screws before leaving, the shaft kept sliding down and wouldn't lock in place when I got to the lake and switched pieces to use with standing. I forgot to bring a screwdriver on the boat, so I couldn't use the paddle unless I sat on the board and used it like a kayak. It had been a long day of sitting, but I didn't want to spoil the fun for the others.
Instead of spending another $50 on something that is supposed to float, I'm hoping you guys will replace this. Obviously, the quick connect failed.
You have more power, and children learn quickly. COVER a significant amount of ground. It's also a great way to get in some exercise! I REALLY LIKE THE BRIGHT COLOR! I purchased two sets. br>br> At the lake, the restaurant has opened its doors. My daughters, on the other hand, had been harmed during the journey. TO MAKE IT WORK, WE HAD TO BE CREATIVE AT THE LAKE. That makes me sad. We adore them, however. It would be fantastic to reclaim the cool strap down cooler bags. It appears that they were quickly sold out!.
When going side to side, the paddle drips a little, but that's to be expected when you're in the water. It appears to be made of the same durable material as the paddle that comes with your SUP. When paddling in a sitting position or in rougher waters, this is an excellent choice.
I put this paddle through its paces on the Colorado River in Arizona, and my only complaint is that you might need a Phillips screwdriver to keep one of the paddle's sides from loosening up where it clamps down. Aside from that, it's a decent piece of work. This would be an excellent purchase if you paddle along the river frequently. You can't even lay on your back and paddle; however, one of the best features of this paddle is that even if you want to stand, you can crouch and paddle like a madman if you can keep your balance.
Wouldn't stay in a paddleboard position that was locked; Continually slid to the tiniest setting In addition, the flat, rather than angled, paddle shape made it exhausting to use. I have a kayak that can also be used as a SUP, so I was looking forward to getting a combo paddle, but it was a letdown. Instead, I went back to the store and bought a regular kayak paddle with a low angle.
