Questions & Answers

Is it possible to use the two separate oars on a kayak as well as an inflatable boat?

No, unless it's an inner-tube inflatable boat, they'll be far too short. Renee, please accept my sincere condolences on the tube size.

Is it true that one of the shafts is oval?

At the point where the black hand grips meet, both paddles are slightly oval. They have an ergonomic design and are extremely comfortable to hold. When your hands are wet or slick, the paddle's design ensures that it does not twist while in use. These paddles are well-made and designed, light in weight, and extremely effective on the water. This model is one of two that I bought. Any local retailer would not be able to match the Amazon price I received.

The graffix for bending branches is missing from the paddle that arrived. Is it possible that they're selling a knock-off?

I'm not aware of any.

Is this a paddle with a lot of slant to it? For touring, I use a low-angle paddle, but I'd like something a little more aggressive.?

The Bounce is equipped with a snug-fitting hoodie. snap-in three-hole feathering angles of 0° and 60°, L or R, with a button ferrule. This paddle is available in 10cm increments from 210cm to 240cm in length. I hope this has provided you with the information you require. Renee, please accept my heartfelt greetings.

Selected User Reviews For BENDING BRANCHES Whisper 2-Piece Snap-Button Recreational Kayak Paddle; (Aluminum Shaft/Black Blade)

Excellent paddle for a reasonable price! For our Advanced Elements hybrid kayaks, we purchased both the 230 and 240 size Whisper paddles
5/5

Read a lot of reviews on different paddles, as well as advice on how to pick the right size and type. These are just right for us. Spending a lot of money on carbon fiber paddles didn't make sense for us because we only do recreational lake kayaking. We recently spent an 8-hour day on the lake, paddling almost the entire time (with the exception of two quick bathroom breaks), and these paddles never felt too heavy. We like how tough they appear to be, and the breakaway feature is a must-have for us. Because we can fit both of our kayaks into a small Honda Fit and drive to the lake, we needed paddles that could do the same. When the two halves are snapped together, the unit is solid and there is no play that we can see. A fellow kayaker commented to me that she wishes her paddle blades were contoured like ours, as they provide a better bite with less effort per stroke. Here is what I can offer as a comparison for anyone who is unsure about what length to buy based on our experience. Our kayaks are 32" wide; the 230 is ideal for me, as I have a 30" torso length, and the 240 is ideal for my husband, who has a 32" torso length. The paddle grips leave a bit of black residue on your hands, according to some reviewers; We don't think it's a problem because it washes right off.

This is a good beginner paddle
3/5

For my newer sit-stand, I required a 240. top. On the advice of a friend who works at a sporting goods store, I purchased one of these. They must have a large number of these. Advantages: br>br> br>** Well-made, durable enoughbr>** Grip area is oblong for a better gripbr>** Lightweightbr>br>Cons: br>** It's not a light paddlebr>** I can easily flex itbr>** Smaller bladesbr>br>I'm not sold on this paddle. It's ideal for people who don't have a lot of time on their hands. from the point of view of performance fishing There are, however, numerous entry-level positions available. Cheaper level paddles that perform similarly. Spend the extra $30-$40 if you want better results. On a much better paddle, I was able to achieve a score of 40. This is the most effective entry-level opportunity. It's not a great value at $60 because it's not a level paddle.

My purchase was a great success
5/5

This paddle comes highly recommended as a good value for money. I haven't been let down. I've never held a $300 paddle in my hands, so this is a relatively light weight to me. The two halves fit together tightly with no wiggle, giving the impression of being one solid piece. While I would prefer a smaller diameter for my small hands, they are still reasonable and will be more than comfortable for the average person on a long journey. The blades are rock solid, with only a smidgeon of flex. The drip guards are different from those on rental kayak paddles that I've seen, and they appear to be much more durable. br>br>I haven't used the paddle yet, but I'm pleased with its construction. They're a great deal at $65 and I recommend them if you're on a budget. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> I went kayaking with one of my coworkers. A $120 carbon fiber paddle was purchased by a worker. The weight difference between the two was barely discernible.

For casual kayaking, this is a good paddle to use
5/5

Last year, I bought the Bending Branches Whisper for my tandem sit-on-top kayak. This paddle is relatively light weight, and I've had no problems with it. I don't get tired of paddling against the wind or current with it. Granted, I only paddle in lakes and mellow rivers; I'm not an athlete, but I've used this paddle for six hours and had no problems. The grip is also quite pleasant. This paddle has also proven to be durable so far, and it disassembles easily for storage or transport. I'm a little over 5'7" and the 230 is a perfect fit for me. My husband has a Carlisle Day Tripper, and I've tried it and don't think it's as comfortable or as good as the Whisper. For light recreational kayaking, I suggest the Whisper.

It's a step up from the Carlisle Day Tripper
5/5

According to the majority of the reviews I've read, these are the best two beginner paddles. In the following ways, this one outperforms the Day Tripper. The Whisper has a better track record. br>br> With each stroke, the DT appears to turn your face sideways. I believe it has to do with the blade's sharper design. The Whisper's rounded shape makes it easier to propel the kayak. br>br>The Whisper makes fewer splashes. Something about the rounded design makes it feel a lot more natural. br>br>The Whisper appears to be lighter in weight. I'm not sure if the weight is different, but it feels like less work and I'm less tired during strenuous paddling when I use it. Paddling is also a great way to relax. br>br>I've seen Whisper users complain about splash rings dripping on them. It's worth noting that they're pushed all the way up to the fins when they come out of the box. I gently shifted mine back, just past halfway between the grip and the fin, and immediately noticed a huge difference. I hope you find this information useful. br>br>Please mark this review as "helpful" if you found it useful. )br>br>PS: If you are looking for a unique way to express yourself, try using the words "innovative My fiance also purchased an $80 Force paddle, which she has since requested that I order for her because she preferred my Whisper.

Paddle of excellent quality
5/5

Because of its value, I've given this paddle 5 stars. This is an excellent example of a well-written essay. If you're just getting started, why spend $200 on a paddle if you're not sure if kayaking is right for you? This is a high-quality paddle that is lightweight and performs admirably. I now have a much better paddle, but I still use this one when I don't want to ruin my better paddle. If I'm bringing a friend who doesn't have any equipment, I'll have to pay for one.
