This product provides me with a great deal of pleasure. It is long-lasting, comfortable, soft, and warm. The material used in the Four Element is not compressible, which is ideal for diving. It's not ideal for packing in a backpack, but that's the trade-off. For cooler water dives, the Fourth Element is unquestionably the best tool. br>I wasn't convinced that a flooded suit would keep me warm, so I put it to the test at a nearby lake. I didn't let you down. Yes, I was drenched and chilly at first, but I quickly warmed up. After about 10 minutes of regretting my decision to flood with 50 degree water, I was fully warmed up and ready to continue the dive; by the end of the 40 minute test dive, I was at ease and not in danger from the cold. br>br>What I like best about the material is how light it is and how easy it is to put on and take off. Because of its flexibility and insulation, I even wear it on colder days when I want to ride my motorcycle. While wearing the top and bottom Fourth Element sets, there are no restrictions, which I believe is crucial. This is the ideal tool for staying warm while diving in cooler water. br>br>.
This was purchased for the dry suit course, and I have used it on five dives in water temperatures of 60 degrees Fahrenheit. br>It's soft and cozy, and it doesn't restrict movement. br>br>My bottoms are 3d mesh waterproof, and I wish I had gotten both the top and bottom fourth elements. br>br>One thing to keep in mind is that they are much bulkier and heavier than the 3d mesh.
I was able to wear it under an xcore vest and stay in 68°F water for 6 hours before becoming chilled. I had been perfectly content up until that point. It wasn't a matter of temperature for me. It is something that I strongly suggest.
It's nice and warm, and it fits perfectly.
The Arctic top is available in 3XL and the Arctic bottom is available in 2XLS. I was worried that they would separate during the dive and leave me with a cold midsection, but so far there have been no problems. The p-hole is missing. You can go "up and over" the valve, however. With a pair of J2's, I felt cool on a dive with light work effort; if you were swimming more, it would be fine. On a dive in the low 50's, I added the XCore vest, which kept me relatively warm in the core, but that was in dives with moderate effort; if I were more stagnant, I'd add a set of Xerotherm tops and bottoms. Any temperature below 45 degrees Fahrenheit would almost certainly necessitate more insulation than the Arctic. In general, the quality is satisfactory.
