It was a ripping surf day on Long Island when I just finished surf casting for striped bass. Moderate winds but good surf. The top was layered over a NRS farmer John wetsuit and a moisture wicking t-shirt. Taking a bath in 65 degrees water and 60 degrees air is perfectly comfortable. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. This jacket has fine features like Velcro cuffs, arm pockets large enough to fit phones, a hood that is comfortable, a 1/4 zippered front for easy access, and is light in I like the blue color of the Fjord. Even though I was soaked from the heavy surf, this top played a vital role in keeping me safe from the wind and spray. I wore my outfit during the 20-minute boat ride home at 30 mph and it did not affect my safety. A size XL was ordered. A relaxed fit makes it easy to layer over more clothing, and I plan on adding another layer as the temperatures drop.

The weather outside is perfect for kayaking, so this will be an excellent jacket. This is my first purchase (I purchased The only issue is I have not used it yet. I would give it 5 stars if I had. My favorite color is green, so I got an awesome rain hat that matches, so when I'm paddling or camping in the rain I'm dry. Having lived in the North for years, I wish I had these last summer when I acquired my new seasonal camping spot and it rained more than usual.
