I believe 9' is excessively long.
Yes, it does, and it's a well-made paddle at that.

This two-piece kayak paddle is fantastic. It is connected by a simple but effective push button fitting. It has three different paddle blade angles that can be adjusted. Anglers will appreciate the following features of this paddle: Both blades have a notch for retrieving tangled fishing lines, and the paddle's handle has a 40" measuring scale. Unfortunately, if the blade angles are offset, the scale will no longer line up. It appears that simply replicating one half of the scale on the other sides of the paddle would be a simple fix for the manufacturer. Aside from that minor flaw, the paddle is excellent. It has a good balance, isn't too heavy, and includes drip guards and a paddle leash. A very satisfied customer!.
Despite being my longest paddle, I found the blade to be too small, being smaller than any of my other four. More importantly, it appears to be poorly shaped, with an excessive amount of cup in the blade. Paddling quietly, which is important for anglers, is difficult. Attempting to rely on the blade's smaller size and increased cupping isn't working. I would not purchase this item again.
A nine-foot paddle is difficult to come by, and this one is of good quality. The angle is particularly useful for launching from a dock or grabbing anchor lines. The hook retriever is also useful, though I haven't needed it yet.
The paddle is nice, but it was scratched up pretty badly. It appears to be of good quality, is light in weight, and would have received a higher rating if it had not been scratched. Aside from a couple of scratches, I really like the paddle.
It's a fantastic paddle for the money, being extremely light and durable. There were only two things I didn't like: 1) the paddles themselves are a little smaller than I'd like; the length is fine, but the height is a little smaller; however, they still work well. 2) One of the drip rings was a little bent, but after sitting in the hot sun for a while, it softened up and is now fine. It easily outperforms paddles that are significantly more expensive.
I'm sure there are better paddles out there, but I'm going to use this one until the day I die. Lol. It's also a perfect match for my kayak. br>The measurements are a little difficult to read, but this isn't a major issue. It is capable of completing the task.
Except for the drip rings (collars), which are very thin, arrived smashed, and slide up and down the paddle shaft, the paddles are lightweight and appear to be made of high-quality materials.
Paddle is fantastic. It is light in weight. The dock hook feature is extremely useful and versatile. It's what I'm using with my outlaw perception. The blades aren't as big as I'd like, or it'd be a five-star product.
