Sizes are listed in three different sizes. You select the size that best suits your requirements. This is an excellent item.
It's made up of two parts, is lightweight but strong, and comes in a variety of colors.
36 ounces, according to the manufacturer. There isn't much, and it isn't a big deal.
My attraction to this paddle is to use it on a fishing kayak that is wider than my sea touring kayak. Because fishing kayaks are wider (28 to 34" beam), having a longer shaft paddle to avoid hitting the gunnel while paddling is preferable.

The Bending Branches Angler Scout Paddle (250cm/Orange) was just delivered to me on December 7, 2020. The tape measure on the shaft is incorrect, as I discovered. Everything is in its proper place. from the location of the snap button past the 17-inch mark is off . This is a problem when trying to determine if a striped bass is legal to keep. The Angler Scout kayak paddle from Bending Branches weighs 36 oz. After a you-know-what, I bought a paddle. A well-known angler discussed its merits in a YouTube video. I have a Teton Kayak that I've had for a long time and wanted a good paddle to go with it. I am 6. 1 and I used the chart on the bending branches online page to order a 250 mil paddle. I picked the appropriate size, and it worked perfectly. The paddle has a fish measuring chart and isn't as light as my daughter's all-fiberglass or carbon model, but it's well balanced and has an oval shaft for a better fit. If you prefer, you can adjust the feathering. I paddled with ease after setting the connection to standard.
I went with the 230 (although I could have gone with the 1-). As a beginner, I like this paddle setup (2 steps up for the kayak's 34" beam). The notion that the shaft must be made of carbon or fiberglass in order to be lightweight appears absurd. If you can't find a paddle with an aluminum shaft, what are you going to do? The paddle has already taken a pounding and is holding up admirably. The terrain where I fish is harsh, and this paddle has yet to be scratched. The plan, on the other hand, is to exhaust them.
The angler scout from Bending Branches is an excellent value for money paddle. I wasn't going to spend any more money on a paddle than I had on my kayak. Rambler tandem 135, in my opinion. This paddle came highly recommended and didn't break the bank. I'm blown away by how much more comfortable it is than other paddles I've tried for less money. The difference in price of $99 is well worth it. I bought one for my husband today.
I recently purchased an Ocean Kayak Caper. A brand-new paddle is required for a brand-new boat. This paddle is the perfect size for the width of the kayak and my height. I'm impressed with the paddle; it's light and the blades are in good shape. Two of my sons also tried the paddle and were blown away. For the money, this is a fantastic purchase.
This has a built-in ruler for quickly measuring your catch, as well as a hook for safely grabbing line from afar. I wouldn't expect it to hold up to much abuse against rocks, and it's certainly much heavier than fiberglass or carbon alternatives. br>br>I wouldn't expect it to hold up to much abuse against rocks, and it's certainly much heavier than fiberglass or carbon alternatives.
It floats, and it's a lot lighter than usual. It's an excellent upper-level beginner paddle. I wanted something a little better in terms of quality without breaking the ban. It was in this paddle that I found it. Kayakers love this brand, and it has a good reputation. Once I got out on the water, I was very happy with the results. For fishermen, there are measuring increments on the handle.
The item arrived in a less-than-stellar condition. While it was light, the hooks' placement did not appear to make it a water-resistant tool. In general, I would have paid more for a higher-quality product. Finally, I exchanged this item for one that appears and feels more water-resistant.
