We bought two of these paddles last week and put them through their paces on the water over the weekend
5/5

I think it's a great paddle for the money; it's not the lightest on the market due to the carbon fiber shaft and fiberglass blades, but it's a significant improvement over the fiberglass and aluminum shaft paddles we had previously. br>br>On the water, the paddles will float. As shown, they all came with a leash. br>Dimensions - These numbered in the hundreds. My 230cm field and stream paddle is 5 inches longer than this one. br>We weighed this paddle and found it to be 970 grams, or 34 ounces. 22 oz. The field is made of fiberglass. We have a stream paddle that weighs 1130 grams (39 ounces). We had a cheap aluminum one that was 1220 grams or 43 ounces, and it was 86 ounces. 03 oz. (All three paddles were close to 230cm in length, but the BEST paddle was the longest of the three but by far the lightest). br>Very firm blades provided a lot of power on the water. br>Nice finish, very smooth and comfortable to hold. Well-put-together. When the paddle is put together, there is a good amount of firm engagement. Between the two pieces, there is very little "slop. " br>br>Would definitely buy again, especially for the price ($89). It's not as light as a full carbon fiber paddle, but it's also not as expensive. Either way, it's $400.

Great paddle, but make sure you adjust it properly
3/5

Okay, I don't usually write reviews, but I got a nice postcard in the mail that asked me to do so. I appreciate a business that is concerned with customer satisfaction and feedback. That said, I use this thing all the time and it does exactly what it should, but the little chrome locking button that allows you to adjust the blades broke the first time I used it. It was extremely difficult to twist the tubes in opposite directions, to the point where it seized completely. However, it seized in almost the perfect spot and has yet to slip (despite the locking button falling off), so it works fine for now and I see no reason to return it. Despite the fact that it broke, it's still working fine. I like this brand; I've purchased a few anchors from them and they're great value for money. If I get another one, I'm going to try wrapping some graphite lubricant around the inner tube to make it easier to adjust.

This is the first reviewer! I don't write many product reviews and rarely purchase items that haven't been reviewed

Anyway, I decided to take a risk and buy two of these paddles. They are, without a doubt, the real deal. They weigh 34 ounces on my fairly accurate postal scale. The paddles I received are comparable to my only other carbon shaft paddle, a Bending Braches, which cost more than twice as much.

Paddle is made of carbon fiber and is very affordable
4/5

I'm not an expert paddler, so I did a lot of research and testing before buying one. I had looked at a number of highly rated aluminum and fiberglass paddles, but the carbon fiber paddles kept drawing me in. Because most Carbon Fiber paddles cost at least $250, I decided to give the Best a shot, based on the price and other reviews. The weight of the paddle is ideal for me, but I can tell the blades aren't as stiff as those on other carbon fiber paddles. The fit between the two pieces is also excellent; there is no wiggle, which was one of my major complaints about aluminum paddles. I'm 5'10" and my boat is 28 feet, so the length (234 cm) appears to be ideal for me. Because I'm 5" wide, I'm usually near the top or bottom of the 230 or 240 cm paddles. The blade design and size appear to be somewhere in the middle of a high angle and low angle paddle, with a slight lean toward the low angle. Personally, as a newcomer, I was unsure which direction to take, so I appreciate the middle ground. My only criticism is that the paddle lacks grips, but I've noticed that most carbon fiber paddles do not include them, so I'm not too concerned. This paddle also comes with a nice long paddle leash, which is a nice bonus. Overall, I'm pleased with my purchase, and this paddle should serve me well as an entry-level paddle.

I was looking forward to getting this paddle for a recent kayak trip and thought the price was reasonable
3/5

It appears to be well-made and durable. I had been using an aluminum paddle and wanted to switch to something more lightweight. The blades are smaller and I didn't feel I had as much power in the water, and I'm not an expert, but the blades appear to be plastic, which is fine but I'm not sure how they are fiberglass enforced. This paddle is a couple of ounces lighter but is heavier than the fiberglass model a friend of mine uses for 2/3 the price. A good- I like the paddle, but I'm not sure I'd buy it again.

This is a fantastic kayak paddle
5/5

I began looking for a paddle after purchasing my first kayak. I debated between getting a $40 paddle with an aluminum shaft and less durable construction and spending a little more for this paddle with a sturdy but lightweight carbon fiber shaft and fiberglass blades. I like that it's 234 CM, which is roughly halfway between a 230 paddle and a 240 paddle (since I couldn't decide which size to get despite consulting various sizing charts on the Internet). br>br>After paddling for a couple hours on the lake, the paddle feels solid and lightweight. I liked it so much that after buying a second kayak, I went ahead and bought the same paddle.

Paddle is excellent
5/5

I bought this paddle for my Hobie kayak and I love it. In comparison to my previous Hobie paddle, it is incredibly light. The duration is - 234 cm - It appears to be exactly what I'm looking for. My kayak is about 30" wide and I am 5'11" tall; the paddle has a nice bite on the water and is very sturdy on the pull. Over a long distance, the light weight makes paddling a lot easier. This is a paddle that I would strongly suggest.

The most amazing first paddle I've ever experienced! It was a great paddle, but I'll admit it was my first
5/5

Pros: Very light, a tight fit on the connection, and no play at all. The finish is silky smooth, and the grip is incredibly comfortable. br>Cons (in a sense, but not really): The color black absorbs light and is un- When you hold the paddle bits in your hands, they start to get warm. Couldn't the blades be a couple of inches longer? I don't seem to get much "bite" in the water, but I'm a beginner and could be doing something incorrectly. br>I'll admit, it took me a while to realize that the safety strap's loop simply clips into your life vest. (Bear paw is too large for loop, so bear outsmarts loop. ).
