There's no need to anchor to the floor because my 15 lb. The temperature of the balls is maintained. If I needed to anchor it to the bottom, I'd probably start with silicon. This way, I don't leave a mark on the floor. If the material is wood, stainless wood screws should be used. It all depends on the bottom's composition.
5" X 5" on the outside, 4 1/2" in diameter on the inside.
Both Scotty and Cannon have a 20-pound rating.
That ought to work, in my opinion.

These are a lot tougher than I expected them to be. I wasn't sure I could trust them because they were just plastic, but I've hit them hard with my 12lb downrigger balls and they haven't broken. During my trips on the water and towing my boat behind my truck, they keep the ball in good shape. These are well worth the money if you don't want your downrigger ball to bounce around your boat or if you don't want to set up your downriggers until you arrive at your fishing spot.
They are able to support a substantial amount of weight!.
On my small (15') aluminum boat, I use these. Only 6 lb weights are used in my case. These are sturdy enough to hold my 6 pound weights and will accommodate a wide range of sizes. They're mounted near the downriggers so I can use them to keep the weight in place while I set up the line release. These are a great way to keep your downrigger weights secure while you're out on the water. I added velcro straps to hold the weights in place while trailering, which is a nice touch. The Weight Mate is an excellent solution for keeping your downrigger weights from rolling around.
The Scotty Lead Weight Holder is simple to install. It maintains its shape. Durable and attractive, this fishing boat accessory is a great addition to any boat.
Excellent product with prompt delivery.
My downrigger weights are safe and secure because I mounted four of these to a 12 inch X 24 inch, 1 inch thick piece of HDPE.
These downrigger ball holders were exactly what our boat needed. We found these little gems after using a folded towel to keep them from crashing into the boat. On our aluminum small boat, we have a set that we simply place on the seats by the downriggers. The boat isn't screwed down to it. We tied them to the gunnel of our bigger boat. Yet another brilliant idea.
My downrigger balls are kept safely in place by them. ) The plastic is thick and well-made.
