A sheath snaps onto the knife. You can see it in the picture of the knife at the top.

Certainly, I have the NRS Vapor and there is a place in the PFD where you can clip a sheath around your right chest and waist.

When attached to the sheath, what is the diameter and length of the knife itself? Paperback novels measure 7x3x1 inches this measurement is said to be in inches. ?

I used this for kayak pfd attachment, but I also used it for surfcast fishing, so very versatile
3/5

It appears some people forgot the most important rule regarding tethering your gear on/in the water. Those who complained of holsters not holding tightened and loosing them, did forget that. The pros are The following *br I can see that the blunt blade will come in handy to open clams without stabging myself accidentally. The bottle opener amuses me but really, I don't know what's going to happen. I'm sorry,

We are using this in saltwater x2 and there is no corrosion yet. The coating probably contributes to that. We'll need to see if the corrosion changes once the coating The cons are The following *br Prices for something made in China, especially if it's made in China - While the quick release feature is nice, it is often problematic to get it back into the holster and requires both hands to do so, paying great attention to locking the retaining levers. YES YES Neutral Basically the same as the ergos, but I have the smaller version and my hands are a little smaller.

I think it's a good idea, unless you're in rough waters
3/5

When he was training for swift water, my husband had this attached to his vest and within two hours it had fallen My seller has contacted me and hopefully we will be able to resolve this issue. The cam system holding it in place seems to be either garbage or a manufacturer's defect. We are resolved! A 5 out of 5 for outdoor play!.

In the water, I practiced one-handed use, and it was simple A perfect snap secures the knife into its sheath
5/5

In the water, I practiced one-handed use, and it was simple Sheaths are designed so that the knife's edge is not exposed when the sheath is closed. Thus, it is not only safe, but it is It was extremely easy to hook it up to Stohlquist class V PFD and it was also extremely Designed to perfectly fit the attachment groves on PFDs/life jackets, the clip assembly on the sheath fits the dimensions of the attachment point on the PFD. I am happy to report that this knife fits perfectly into the attachment point on my Stohlquist PFD, so A series of squeeze tabs on the sides of the sheath keep the sheath snug. Depressing the spring on both sides releases it easily but only when the spring pressure is especially strong. By quickly pushing the tabs evenly and rapidly depressing the fingers, the knife could actually spring off of the sheath into your hand. The ability to respond quickly in an emergency situation is a benefit. Just in case I drop it in the rapids while I am using it, I will attach my own lanyard to it. Besides being great to look at, it sounds great as well.

You have to work hard to get the knife out of its If the release grip is pressed, it is difficult to remove the knife
3/5

It is difficult to figure out why the knife and knife holder The object seems to be made out of lead. I repeatedly attempted to lock the knife into place, but was unable to do so. In addition to being thin and difficult to grip, the handle also makes it difficult to remove the knife from its We're disappointed in the quality of the release mechanism, as it jams.

You should ask before you click the buy button
3/5

Are you looking for a small, medium, or large knife? When I go kayak fishing, I need a knife that goes on my vest so I can take it with me. As soon as I read the description I thought that this was a small, tiny knife. That is NOT the case at all. There is a point on one side of the blade, as with most river knives. It is heavy and bigger than the average river knife. The color is about the only thing I like about it. It was purple that I wanted, and it was purple that In addition to paying more than twice the price for purple, this knife is almost twice as expensive for the silly color! In the end, I just tossed it into my tackle box because I didn't want the hassle of returning it. I gave it long consideration to return it for something smaller, but when I realized I wouldn't need it, I just tossed it into my tackle box.

It was a very good day
5/5

Keeping the vest knife secure and safe is one of the best aspects of this knife. Paddle gloves are easy to grip with a good handle. A retaining string can be fastened to the knife with the pinhole in the butt of the knife, which is an excellent The vest was attached with zip ties, and it did not interfere in any way.

A kayak of the right size is perfect for paddling
5/5

It is co-owned by It's much easier to handle a pilot than a As I carry it on the left side of my PFD, this allows an easy stretch with my dominant (right) hand in case the need arises to cut material in an emergency. Knives stay securely in place, and the ease of removal in an emergency situation is flawless a simple squeeze of the thumb and long finger is all it takes.
