In order to dive at CoCo View for two weeks, we ordered two sets. The performance was very poor. No sounds could be heard until within a short distance. Although it looks great, a tank banger or metal pointer will sound much more loud. In the past, we used air clackers but they rust out after one season even if they are rinsing with fresh water.
Although I still have yet to test this out in water, I could tell right out of the package that this is a very high quality and durable noise maker. Despite being very firm, the spring in the clip is very elastic. cap is made of a bendable plastic that won't crack and break, and the strings that connect it are stretchy and double knotted so that it will never get lost. The cap is also double knotted at both ends so it won't fall off. The company seems to be very competitive in their pricing, so if you have $40 to spend, and you want a convenient noise maker that is quiet when not in use, then this is a good option.
The device works well underwater and literally saves me a great deal of time trying to get the attention of my dive partner. Whenever we're together, we like to point out cute things, but without a loud noise maker. Not everything is as easy as it seems. appreciate that the cap is magnetic, so that when the shaker is not in use, there is no noise. It is an excellent idea and is extremely easy to operate. Dive without it and I won't be able to survive!.
I bought this to get my buddy's attention under the It is well made and has no rattling when not in use because of the magnet. However, if you are underwater, the rattle is difficult to hear.
My first experience with it was in high school. This seems like it would work, but a simple aluminum Caribbean does the same thing at a fraction of the weight, saving you time and money!.
You won't find a cheaper device that can be as loud as this. There is no air used. It's less likely that there will be failure points on your air system (I've had to cancel dives because of leaky Its brass construction means it sounds clear like a bell and it will not corrode over time.
Keep the cap saying with you for a while, but don't rely on it for too.
