Questions & Answers

I soaked my entire setup in ice water because there was some dirt on my skateboard griptape. Is it possible to flavor it by soaking it in gassoline?

Is it necessary for me to remove my old grip before putting on a new one?

Yes, you can remove the old one by heating the adhesive on the old grip tape with a hair dryer and peeling it off.

Is there only one grip piece?

I received a pack with 20 9" by 33" sheets, but the 9" by 33" sheets are all in one piece.

I'm curious about the tape's composition. Is it possible to cut it with a laser?

The skateboard tape has a durable paper backing and is adhesive on the backside, allowing it to be cut and/or fashioned into any desired shape with household scissors. There will be no need for a laser!

The griptape rainbow has come to an end
5/5

Jessup is familiar territory for experienced skateboarders. All I have to say is that this 60' roll will easily grip 21 decks (or a full 22 if you're careful not to cut more than you need). The remainder of this review is for those who are still learning the ropes and aren't sure which brand of grip tape they require: Unlike shoes and decks, grip tape doesn't require a lot of thought. In the world, there are two types of grip tape: There are two types of grip tape: good and bad. Good grip outlasts the board to which it is applied to and is 100% reliable from sheet to sheet to sheet to sheet to sheet to sheet to sheet to sheet to sheet to sheet to Bad grip isn't one of them. br>br>There are three (major) brands of good grip tape to choose from. Grizzly, Mob, and Jessup are the three main characters. The brands aren't identical, but they do share one feature: they're both made in the United States. They all work fine; there will always be those who insist that one brand is "so much better," but rest assured that you can ignore them. This is the simple truth: You have no right to tell others how to skate if microscopic changes in grit size have such an impact on your skating. The only factors that truly cause issues are the grit's durability and the adhesive's quality, both of which all three brands excel at. The only significant distinction between these three products is price, which Jessup consistently outperforms. In conclusion: br>br> If you're unsure about which grip tape to get, Grizzly, MOB, or Jessup are your best bets. If the branding of one of the products appeals to you, go ahead and buy it. Congratulations, on the other hand, if all you want is the best grip for the least amount of money. You've discovered the rainbow's end. br>br>*I am a licensed reseller with access to tax-free products. Grip tape that is free and available in bulk. It is only marginally less expensive than this product after shipping costs, and it excludes Amazon's reliability*.

NO. Okay, I hate to be that guy, but I ordered a brand called black widow, and it was rolled up super tight and peeled right off, so I figured this is kind of cheap, so let's buy either grizzly mob or jessup. Unfortunately, I don't have a skate shop near my house, so I was like ill buy jessup on amazon, and it is split in half from being kreesed and folded so tight it was in an envelope.

If you aren't planning on using it on a skateboard deck, it is acceptable
3/5

It was creased and folded in several places when it arrived. If you plan to cut it up into small pieces for other uses, it's fine, but full application on a skateboard deck is difficult, and the product is ruined by crease marks and has come loose from the tape backing. If I can get it on the deck at all, it'll probably start peeling off where the crease marks have compromised it.

Skateboards aren't the only ones who can use them
5/5

Rather than stippling a pistol grip, I used this technique. I found a template online that "mostly" worked; I had to make a few changes to the template, but once done and cut, it's like holding your pistol with Stickum on your hands. This is 100% true. br>What is the application's disadvantage? I wouldn't suggest holstering your gun so that the grip is against your skin. Any sustained movement, I'm guessing, would result in the removal of some epidermis. It's not always a good thing, but it isn't in this case. In any case, if it works well on my grip, I'm sure it'll work well on a board, so get it. Prepare the surface, apply the product properly, and enjoy yourself. Whatever adhesive they're using, it's effective. Simply put, this is a very high-quality product. I strongly suggest this product because it is of high quality.

The item arrived in a large, undamaged box, which was not a good sign
3/5

When I took it out and saw how bad the quality was, I was taken aback. It has a crinkled, dried appearance. The adhesive sheet had been cut in half. There were a few places where the grip had slipped. I took a picture of one. This damage occurred prior to shipment. Why would anyone send this as new and waste people's time by doing so?.

This tape has a lot of grip
5/5

I'm using it on a handgun, and I'm sure I'll be using it on other things as well. This was used on a handgun to add a little extra grip to the slide for off-hand shooting. thumb on the hand It's great, but I haven't had a chance to try it out yet. I'm hoping I don't rip my thumb's skin off! I'm not going to use this to cover a deck because it came rolled up and has some stress points. I'm sure I'll find a lot of uses for this in the future, and even as sandpaper, it's a good deal.

Great grip on the gun
5/5

This is absolutely incredible. br>br>Like another reviewer, I'm not sure how this product works for its intended purpose, but chances are you're not going to put it on a skateboard if you buy it on Amazon. br>br>I printed out a pistol template and cut about 13 full grips and still had about 8 inches left over. If I were to do it all over again, I'd use a heat gun to ensure a good stick after applying the grip tape. This stuff is dirt cheap compared to pre-made grips, and the google machine has a ton of templates. br>br>I'll be buying again!.

The quality is poor
3/5

The quality of these two griptapes is not the same, despite the fact that they came from the same box. Almost half of the box arrived like the Griptape on the left, which is too slippery and lacks grip; you can see how the grit is spaced out. I've emailed them a couple of times to get this resolved, but Jessup has never responded.
