Questions & Answers

Is it strong enough to hold a certain amount of weight?

That's kind of.... My knowledge of this is limited. We have three helmets, a long board, a short board, and a penny board.

Are Snowboards able to be stored there?

It is possible to hold snowboards in it. In addition to the skateboards, I have two snowboards, cross country skis, an ice axe, and a pair of snowboards on my racks right now

Does the skateboard rack consist of plastic, or is it made of Compared to plastic, I look like a plastic bag. Does it need to be sturdy for me?

We are happy to have you interested in one of StoreYourBoard's skateboard racks, Ginny! There is a lot of strength to this rack, as it is made from hard plastic. The skateboard rack is quite versatile, and easily holds skateboards and other gear. However, it needs to be mounted well to the wall, according to the included instructions (hardware also included). This should help clarify things. Thank you, Carli, for your contribution to

The so-called socratic method of addressing problems made no sense to me She returned to "rack" as soon as she could
3/5

The first thing I noticed was it was plastic, so I didn't expect something industrial grade. Although what I did get was disappointing, I still wanted something better. When it arrived at my house, it was beat to hell and had little plastic ends poking out of the package. Because Amazon shipped it in a padded envelope, it was too small and beat to hell. On unpacking the pieces, I wasn't too impressed with the quality of It is not the kind of rack or system in which every piece feels solid and then they combine to form a unit that is very stable and solid. The system seemed to be designed in such a way that each plastic piece was engineered just enough that when put together, it would possibly be strong enough to be successful as a whole, provided it does not Since the skateboards were going to be dragged onto and off of the racks by kids, I was concerned that a kid might drop something on the racks and damage it, which would lead to the entire structure coming apart. This appears to be the case especially with lateral forces A reinforced structure. There may be a chance, if you have careful kids, or the decks are only for show, if this set is presented well It might work if you go up. Nevertheless, I would like to return this rack in favor of a safer one at a higher price.

The concept was good, the design was mediocre, and the execution was lacking

In addition, My intention is to use this rack for storing my two longboards (one very heavy electric, one average pusher) and putting my helmet and jacket on it. I found it to be exactly what I was looking for since it claims to have a capacity of 40 pounds. After having it in hand, I am sorry to report that I probably wouldn't buy it again if I hadn't been able to find anything similar at a comparable price. However, the board's resting position is one of its major drawbacks Here's what you need to know. The pros are Please note I couldn't believe how simple it was to hang it. A level and a screwdriver are all you need. They provide the anchors and screws. Please note This system allows you to adjust the distance between the two brackets, so you can accommodate virtually any length of board. The following cons It's like this There is not much depth to the brackets. As I sit on the wall, my wheels rest on it! Although this may seem bad, it is actually beneficial because the board decks do not sit firmly in their slots. My concern is that the heavier board would fall if the wheels didn't act as bumpers - I fear it wouldn't balance on its own if the wheels weren't acting as bumpers There is a potential danger and/or cost when dealing with this. To keep the wheels from causing damage and dirt on the wall, I will have to put something on the wall Please note It is not easy to secure the boards to the brackets because of their wobbly arms. My wheels never flex vertically (even under the weight of my heavy board, so that's a good sign) but they wobble from side to side A lot of it has to do with the side. You can't be confident from it.

The program works great! I mounted it to the wall with the help of my 11-year-old son! When you know how to use a screwdriver (electric) and a level, this board rack will work fine
5/5

Don't forget to throw away the screws and anchors that came with it. Although they may work, to make sure they don't fall apart after frequent use and abuse, there are a few things you need to keep in mind. If there are no studs, screw horizontal 2x4's to the studs and then mount this on top of them. If there are no studs in the correct location, screw vertical 2x4's to the studs and then mount this on top of There is space for three skateboard boards and some accessories in this bag. There isn't enough room for heavy objects to hang from it. In terms of performing its intended function, it would seem to work just fine. For the price, it would seem to be a reasonable buy. Make sure that the screws you're using are long enough and that they have a decent head. I have 1/2" drywall behind them and studs behind them as well. The screws I used are 2" long. Leaving 1 1/2 inches of the screw in the stud, this left it with a length of 1 1/2 inches. It was perfect. Actually I entrusted my 11-year-old son with the task of mounting it. As I told him how it was done, I asked him to tell me what he thought would be the next step. I'd say yes! In the end, he found a solution. The problem is if you buy one, install it and it falls off or breaks, then you have done.

This could be a 5 star rating! There are pros
4/5

reviews are correct, it does seem fairly flimsy when you receive the package, but it isn't as bad as you might think. In fact, you get pretty solid results if it's It was simple to install and the directions were good, despite the fact that I shouldn't have needed It seems like it will be able to hold more than two boards, a scooter, and a helmet combined! I can't think of anything better. Super light weight and super For sending a sticker, you got a warning! Bonus! Thank you so much. The cons are Though I appreciated the supplied wall anchors (a plus! four stars, eight would have been a 5! It is what it is, no matter what some may think about the price. Some will complain because it wasn't their idea. We've been very happy with StoreYourBoard overall, and strongly recommend it. Great job!.

This is a great rack of books There may be a need for creative mounting
5/5

The quality of the plastic when mounted correctly and firmly to the wall is surprising for a thin piece of injection-molded plastic. Exactly what I needed. These days I have a longboard, a skateboard, and a Ripstik in my hands. With holes in the back, you can hang a helmet or two, as well as wrist guards or pads. There are a few tips you might want to know about mounting. If you want to take on the weight, at least one should be mounted into a wall stud. There is only one drawback to this 2 piece design, since stud mounting would allow them to be too far apart for a normal skateboard. You can use heavy duty molly to fix this. When mounting drywall to hollow studs, use drywall anchors. Although the ones that come with it are decent, I'm not sure I could go through 3 boards with them. Although I don't mind the boards falling, if they hit my car during their descent, I'm not happy.
You can also attach them both to one piece of plywood, which you can then screw into the studs. The mounting holes are also perfectly spaced for 1" pegboard if you attach it to the wall using large enough screws and anchor the pegboard well. It feels a little flimsy when the plastic racks are not attached, but once they are, they feel very sturdy. The price is a bit high, but I would buy another one if I needed more space. I like how they look.

This is a really cool storage solution
5/5

The construction of these is very fragile. There are notches on the brackets to allow screws to be inserted on both sides, but there are only enough screws to screw into one side. Ensure that the bracket is screwed on both sides. Unless it is oriented one way, it will be biased that You can just hang on to it so that it does not lean if you have something hanging on it. There are two units and each is hung with two skateboards and one Razor scooter. The brackets at the top were wide enough for the skateboards, but the brackets at the bottom needed to be closer together for the scooter. As a whole, this storage system for skateboards and scooters is very well done.
