All pieces that are screwed on should be sealed with exterior wood or construction glue. The 2X4 supports and plywood frame haven't been treated. The ground-level edges aren't painted, so they'll absorb moisture. As a result, I decided to paint the bottom and back surfaces. I painted over the screws after putting the frame together. I'll look for a better solution for the ramp's bottom, perhaps epoxy. br>br>I had anticipated a weather-resistant ramp. This item is not resistant to the elements.
It's the same high-quality product as the first, and we love how mobile these ramps are! Despite their light weight, they are incredibly stable when performing tricks on them. Also, when we want to create a hip or gap scene, it's simple to move around. My kids and I have a lot of fun skating together and figuring out new combinations! It was well worth the money!.
My son began skating about a year ago and has been riding ever since. He was looking for something to ride in the driveway with. He was ecstatic when I bought him this ramp! It is necessary to put together the ramp. My husband and son worked together on it, using the tools we had on hand. My son did the majority of the work and enjoyed it! He did an excellent job; everything went together exactly as the instructions stated; he was very proud of his work, which turned out to be excellent and stable. He enjoys his time on the ramp and is learning new tricks. It's ideal for him, thanks to ramptech! It took three days to arrive, including the day I placed the order. It's where I've landed all of my tricks. I've been to a lot of skate parks, and this one has one of the best transitions. I'll buy from them again without a doubt! Update: I bought a second one and turned it into a micro mini ramp! It was a lot of fun. They have been rained on and snowed on in a way that only the midwest can do in the spring time can do. They are 100% as good as the day I assembled them It was well worth the money.
PROS: It's a lot of fun, and it's really well-made. The riding surface made of plastic is a fantastic idea. It's not as slick as masonite, but it lasts a lot longer. Tipping it over and pushing it around is a breeze with the back wheels. It isn't overly substantial. CONS: br>br> Because of the poor packaging, the screws had fallen out of the box by the time I received it (I had to purchase them separately). The instructions are adequate, but they could use a little more detail. The top platform is a little narrow (almost railslide-able, but not quite), but it functions. If you're particularly heavy, the ramp may move slightly, so brace it in some way. SUMMARY: br>br> Despite the issues I mentioned, the game is a lot of fun and well worth the money.
I've been skating for a long time and I've got to say it's difficult to come across a great pipe like this, with plastic for the actual riding surface. Made of wood planks with pre-cut outlines, it's not at all slippery. It went together perfectly; I'm 14 and my friend and I put it together in about an hour. I'll be purchasing more. I'm really happy if I can combine a few for a half pipe!.
We put it together in about 45 minutes thanks to the quick shipping. The status of "hero" father has been attained!
