Yes. My daughter slipped on the ice. She was not hurt because she had the Wrist Guard on. It has the potential to be an excellent protector.
It's very handy! When I leave the house, I always put it in my bag. It takes up very little room in the bag and is extremely easy to transport.
My child is nine years old and purchased a M size, which fits him perfectly. To make a purchase, you can use the size chart.
No, there are no aluminum wrist splints in this wrist brace. This wristguard is made of an impact-resistant ABS plastic bone shell that provides excellent wrist protection.

Since I was 17 years old I have done skateboarding until recently. I find my palms bruised when I fall because I use the palms as my primary tool for reffending a fall, which I do so often with these palms.
I took a measurement of my hand and placed an order for a large. They're too big, but I can't really size down because the thumb hole is so small. The plastic plate is too large, the nylon straps that hold these on are too long, and there isn't enough velcro to overlap and hold these in place once I tighten the straps. Anyone with a large enough hand to accommodate the straps and plate will not be able to fit their thumb through the thumb hole.
This is a fantastic purchase. I've been using this to learn how to ride a unicycle, and it's already saved my life a couple of times. It's simple to put on and take off, and the protective plastic is of sufficient quality to keep you safe for 50 falls. i think : )br>br>Excellent purchase. It was well worth it.
It was a perfect match. They irritate my inner thumb just a smidgeon, but that's probably because I have a smaller hand; they'll still work.
They are both comfortable and durable. I enjoy skating, but now that I'm 40, I make sure to wear wrist guards and knee pads.
I'm 5'3'' and weigh 120 pounds, so I ordered a size large because it was listed as an 'adult' size. Don't make the same mistake I did because my pads were enormous. Aside from that, the minimalist pads are of excellent quality. I liked being able to track my workout with ease using my smart watch.
My daughter, who is about the size of an ant, could barely fit into the large. So, what's the big deal?.
Excellent defense. I was in the middle of two sizes and went with the smaller size. Snug fit. I fell on the ice and felt nothing on one wrist. Excellent defense!.
