My experience with these shoes has been inconsistent, but they have offered more protection than others and are more open for airflow than most. I've had 3 pairs so far with no consistent quality There has been an imbalance between the placement of velcro's long and short ends. I can use them for about one year before they start falling apart (despite occasional washing when even I cannot stand the smell). However, they are better than several others I have tried, and I plan on buying.
