This is our second hoverboard (the first one was not this model) that broke down after only an hour of use. Given that this was our second hoverboard, I made sure to read the manual from beginning to end before doing anything with it. br>br>Given that this was our second hoverboard, I made sure to read the manual from beginning to end before doing anything with it. I made sure we charged the battery for the six hours it was supposed to take - While my children slept, I had it plugged in for nearly 10 hours. This morning, I used it for the first time, and it worked flawlessly! My daughter attempted to step on it and go for about twenty minutes when it began to beep and the running indicator light flashed red. I attempted to fix it by recalibrating the board as described in the manual, and I was successful. She tried to get back on it and was able to balance on it when it stopped beeping and the red light flashed again, as if the gears on the inside were grinding against each other. I re-calibrated the board twice more with the same result before giving up and returning it to Amazon. I attempted to contact SWFT customer service and left a voicemail requesting that they contact me. If they call me back, I'll make changes to this review. br>br>Another thing to note about the manual and the listed safety alerts is that there are a dozen different alerts listed, with no way to fix the alerts mentioned. It's unclear whether recalibrating the board will resolve these issues.
They're pretty cool, to be honest. When the battery is running low, it makes this strange vibration. So, if your kids are donkeys who never charge anything, be prepared for that.
I bought two of these in different colors, and they both violently shake off my two children. I tried recalibrating, but it didn't work. No problems when I switched to a different brand.
I'm doing physical therapy now that it's been six weeks, but she's fantastic at riding it and has no complaints.
We've only had it for a few months, but the pressure sensors are malfunctioning. It takes off without anything attached as soon as it is turned on. Because my daughter is only 40 pounds, we didn't go over any weight restrictions. We sent an email to the seller, but they have yet to respond. I'm hoping to get this sorted out because everything had been great up until this point.
My grandson was overjoyed when he received his gift. We read the manual together and charged the hoverboard for the recommended amount of time, then he and his father spent the afternoon practicing mounting and balance techniques until this 13-year-old was able to ride up, down, and around the driveway for the first time. He was confident because he was wearing his new helmet and protective pads. It performed admirably, and I am pleased with my purchase.
It's a hit with the kid.
