Questions & Answers
Yes, it is possible. However, for the go-kart attachment, I would recommend using a different company. My attachment has broken twice, and each time it has taken an average of two weeks to repair. It took three months to persuade Jetson to honor the warrantee. On other websites, you can get them for a lower price.
On the front, there is a 5" wheel. Replace it with a polyurethane wheel, if you're a wise person. On asphalt, the rubber wheel lasted about a month, and the swivel bearing between the plate that attaches to the frame and the wheel itself has a lot of play. The cart's front end shook and vibrated wildly. I replaced the wheel with a new polyurethane one from a big box store, and it ran like new.
If your hoverboard's wheels are between the sizes of 6 and 8, you can rest easy. 5"- It should be compatible with our Jetson JetKart 2 if it is 5" in length.
The JetKart 2 is the sequel to the JetKart. The Impact Hoverboard works with 0 as well.

Right out of the box, there were a few issues with this item. We bought two units for the grandchildren. A velcro strap on one of the units was missing. I bought extra straps from Amazon rather than contacting the seller after reading reviews that said they were unresponsive (possibly a bad move on my part, but it was easier for me to buy more straps). One of the straps would not make proper contact with the foot pads after we received it. To get it to connect properly, I had to modify the brackets. When we adjusted the length of the footrest on one unit, the plastic bushing on the slide rails of the footrest broke and fell out, and the velcro straps came apart like string cheese after both units were up and running. 2 days later I was fortunate in that I bought extra straps when I purchased them. Finally, the front wheels of both units shake like Shakira and J-Lo's. At about 3/4 speed, Lo during the Superbowl Halftime Show. The bearing at the top of the wheel has a great deal of play in it. It's a shame because we preferred this model/brand over others because it appeared to be a little more durable.
It would be fantastic if a company representative could assist me in replacing the seat that broke almost immediately. To begin with, when I received my parts bag, it had already been ripped open. I then noticed that one of the seat screws had gone missing. Even though my son is under 60 pounds, the chair still broke. It's made of the flimsiest plastic I've ever seen and is incredibly thin. I cannot say that I would recommend it to others.
Eight weeks of use with two children, aged eight and nine. I didn't use the velcro straps and instead used a metal band to secure the hover board to the ground; the front wheel bearings are loose but don't affect steering.
We tried for several hours to get this device to turn on, and we even called customer service. They didn't offer any assistance. When I finally realized what was wrong, I grabbed the cart by the seat, turned it on, and set it down on wheels. Now it's working perfectly. I hope this information is useful to you.
I used it with a Jetson hoverboard, so you'd think it'd be good to go right away. No. It didn't work at all until I read another commenter's suggestion that you need to put padding under the kart so it presses the hoverboard's buttons, or else nothing will work. I'd think the hoverboard's manufacturer would have been aware of this. I used cardboard because there was nothing in the docs about it and no elegant way to do it, so it now works, but any speed faster than walking pace causes the front wheel to wobble off the kart. Overpriced, I thought going with a Jetson branded kart would mean better quality. No, save yourself the trouble and buy the $40 no-name brand.
I'll keep it brief: the tubing connecting the handles to the seat was bent when it arrived. Also. The two forks that run from beneath the seat to the footrests were not evenly welded. The hoverboard was unable to engage as a result of the lack of even weight distribution. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. I stuffed a few pieces of cardboard into the unbalanced side and it worked for a short time, but now the hoverboard wants to spin in a circle all the time.
My son loves his JetKart, but the only thing that irritates me is that the Velcro straps that come with it are too short to hold the hoverboard in place, which I don't understand. It should come with long enough straps to keep the hoverboard in place. My second gripe is that no matter how much we tried to adjust the width to keep the hoverboard in place, it still has a gangsta lean to it. But, once again, my son loves this product and rides around with his friend in the neighborhood. The JetKart is powerful enough to be tried out by a parent.
The front wheel's bearing tolerance/play is too loose, causing it to shake wildly at high speeds. It's a pity, because this kart has a lot of potential.
