Do not buy! My 11-year-old loved the hover board that we had for a week. He's a natural at balancing and riding it wherever he wants to go. However, while riding it one day, it began spinning in uncontrollable circles. He jumped off, but it continued to spin out of control, ripping the skin from his legs. It slammed into our cabinets and refused to turn off. Fortunately, my son was able to jump off without further injury. However, this is a major safety hazard because it ripped off several layers of skin and is not safe to ride.

I was really excited about this hoverboard, but after three days and maybe five uses, all I have to say is. What a colossal waste of cash. The hoverboard simply turned off and wouldn't turn back on on two separate occasions while riding up a small hill. I had to carry it all the way home and plug it in before I could even get a response from the hoverboard, which had been charged by the book and connected to the app that tells you how much battery life you have left both times. I have a hover1 and a self-balancing smart wheel brand that is FIVE YEARS OLD and has never given me any problems, but this one, which is BRAND NEW, turns off without warning or beeping. I shouldn't be having any problems since it's only been three days. This is a complete waste of money; I will contact the company, return it, and look for a more appropriate brand.

My 11-year-old daughter received this as a Christmas present. After researching a variety of brands, I decided on this one. For a day, the product was perfect. My daughter's hoverboard began to spin on the second day while she was riding it. Thank goodness she was able to jump off without serious injury because the board began spinning uncontrollably once she was off. On top of that, I threw in some sofa cushions, which were thrown away as well. After repeatedly colliding with the sofa cushions, the hover board flipped over and came to a halt. My child was overjoyed with her hover board, but I believe she has been permanently scarred; she refused to even touch it to turn it off. I'm going to return the hoverboard because it's not worth the money.

This was purchased as a birthday present for an 8-year-old. Her older adult siblings were so enthusiastic about it that two more were purchased less than a month later. The seat attachment is an absolute must-have.

To compare, I weigh 150 pounds and own a Ninebot One electric unicycle, which I've ridden up to 17 mph and one-footed at over 14 mph, so I'm pretty confident in my balance.

However, even after several recalibrations and starting from 100% charge, I cannot get this board above 8 mph without it powering off with a red light (sensor Granted, with the app in the same "advanced" mode I tried, my 50-pound daughter can hit 12 mph on it. When I ride, I mentally prepare myself to jump off as if I were on a skateboard. br>br> As a result, I cannot recommend this to adults because it appears to lack the power and response to handle a large amount of weight at high speeds. Either that, or it might necessitate a rider with exceptional coordination. br>br> But it was the battery life that really got me, which makes me wonder if they ship with bad cells every now and then. About a mile on this at 7 mph starting at 100% charge on smooth flat pavement and it is below 20% battery at least according to the app at least according to the app% My $150 e-bike is, in my opinion, unfit for any kind of commuting. At that speed, a skateboard can travel at least three miles and frequently four.
