In the beginning of December, I bought this for my daughter as a Christmas present. Of course, she got it on the 25th, and it began to have issues with one wheel not working near the end of January. As a result, the item was no longer within Amazon's return window, and it had to be returned to the manufacturer. Hover-It was recommended to me by Amazon through a link. Return and warranty information is available on page one. I sent them an email and received a response within two days. It gave me perplexing and pitiful instructions on how to photograph the hoverboard before and after they'd 'decommissioned' it. After watching the battery removal video and cutting out wiring that I'm still not sure was correct, I was able to complete everything. However, because it didn't look anything like my hoverboard, I couldn't make much sense of that part. br>br>Now for the deal breaker. After a week and a half with no response, I decided it was time to send a follow-up email to see if there were any signs of life and to ask if I had done the wiring correctly. Nothing. At two weeks and a half, I send an email requesting status. Nothing. At three weeks, I send an email asking what's up and threatening to pursue other options if I don't get a response. So, three and a half weeks after the initial email, I contact Amazon again because I can't find a phone number for hover-support. I've sent Amazon the same email for support. br>br>Amazon says it's out of warranty, which I was aware of. I told them I was hoping to make contact with hover- 1 because they might care if it came from them rather than some random person. They said they'd make an exception for me and refund my money, but that I'd have to pay a $40 restocking fee. B was the number that I dialed. I told them I didn't think I should have to pay for hover-boarding. 1 not honoring their warranty, plus I purchased a 2-year extended warranty from Assurion on Amazon, which turned out to be useless. They then told me that they would refund the two years as well as the hoverboard, and that they would charge a restock fee but refund it once they received the hoverboard back. SO. Despite the fact that Amazon made it right, they tried to deceive me as well. They should put pressure on their retailers to keep their warranties up to date. Not levy a'restocking fee' on us. I'll find out tomorrow whether I have to pay to return it. br>br>This is a picture of my 'decommissioned' hoverboard, which is a complete waste of money. It was a great little toy to play with. Hovering suckers One is a dreadful point-of-sale merchant. Remove them from your list and look for a hoverboard somewhere else.
" I'm going to call the BBB!.
The good: The layout has been carefully considered. They look great, and the optical illusion that makes the lights in the wheels appear to go on indefinitely is fantastic! Hover- 1's customer service is prompt, and the construction appears to be of good quality. The disadvantages: br>br> These only appear to be strong. We put three of these hoverboards to the test. Within two to three weeks of normal indoor use, one board had broken and the other three had all broken. Our boys are 12, 10, 8, 6, and 4 years old, and they all weigh less than 220 pounds. They rode it for an hour or two each day around the kitchen (linoleum) and family room (carpet), and while there was some bumping (into chairs and stools), no hard impacts were made. More information can be found by continuing to read. br>br>So we began our adventure by purchasing a Hover- Walmart had a Black Friday sale on a Turbo hoverboard. When that broke within two weeks of Christmas (the battery side of the board still worked, but the other side didn't), we returned it and tried the Hover-O-Matic instead. 1 H1- Amazon has 100 of them. It received positive feedback and included app support for the diagnostic tool as well as a Bluetooth speaker, which the Turbo lacked. br>br>The initial H1- Within two weeks of receiving it, 100 had turned black and had broken. Similar to the Turbo from Walmart, the diagnostic utility reported a Hall Sensor (Other Side) Fault while everything else was in good working order. I made contact with Hover- 1 support, who responded within 30 minutes or so with a confirmation number, followed by a response similar to the one below a few days later. We couldn't find any other black ones on Amazon, so we went with the Samsung Galaxy H1- 100 That, too, failed after only two and a half weeks of use. We got in touch with Hover- 1 support received a confirmation within 30 minutes on several occasions, followed by a response a few days later. Both times, I got the same response: br>"I'm sorry you're having trouble with this. It appears that your item has a problem that cannot be repaired. According to Amazon's current policy, you can return or exchange it, which is the quickest way to get back on the bike! We are unable to process warranty exchanges at this time due to current operating conditions, but Amazon can help. br>br>We appreciate your patience. During this difficult time, please stay safe and healthy. br>br>Hover- 1 Team "br>br>This time, the diagnostic utility detected a fault in the Phase Circuit of the Motor, but everything else appeared to be in order. br>br>In conclusion, Hover- 1 is a fantastic cook. While I wished they would work, the fact that we bought three Hover-looking devices speaks for itself. There were only 1 board with non-canonical characters on it. issues that can be fixed in two days Normal use for 3 weeks. We'll try a different brand, and here's what we got: There's a huge difference between the two. It's still going strong after 6 months, and it's got the cool infinity wheels to boot.
In less than two weeks, I've received my second i100 hoverboard. I had to return the first one because one of the sides suddenly stopped working after only a few minutes of riding it from my dining room to my living room. I got off and turned it off because it became wonky and started spinning uncontrollably. When I turned it back on to calibrate it, the right side was completely unresponsive, so I tried charging it all the way again. There has been no modification. I returned it and received another one that was exactly the same. I got the second one today, and it won't turn on at all right out of the box. I attempted to charge it, but the charger simply remains on green and will not charge. It's so frustrating that you're completely unresponsive yet again. I own two H1 hoverboards and have yet to experience any issues with them. I'm not sure if it's because of this model or because I got two duds in a row by chance. As a result, I'll need to come back. I'm undecided as to whether I'll go for a third or just get another model. I was going to give it NO STARS, but I felt compelled to give it at least one in order to submit the review. Very let down.
