My teenage son uses these skates as his primary means of transportation almost every day, skating miles on them every time. It took two months for them to be destroyed. A wheel literally split in half due to worn down bearings, deck splinters, and a wheel with a worn out axle. These are the freeskates I purchased for him after his JMK ride freeskates were stolen, and while he loved the way they looked at first, they didn't perform as well. Yet, he is one of the few people who rides their freeskates to such an extent. Getting a pair of these for learning on is fine, possibly even a good idea, since most people won't be able to master free skating, and paying a lot of money for something you're going to give up on after a few attempts is not worth it.
These are the products my kids bought for me. I was amazed at how quickly and undamaged it arrived. Having fun with it is what makes it appealing to my kids. Although they need time to become good at it, they should be able to do it soon. Using the photos attached, you can see that it is very sturdy and made of very high-quality materials. This is a great product to check out if you are thinking about trying.
The starter pair of JMK skates is good if you think Free Skating might be fun but aren't confident that you can learn and don't want to spend $120 on a pair of premium JMK skates. To begin with, I purchased these because I wanted to see if I could even learn free skating. When I had learned how to skate on these skates, I upgraded to a pair of JMK skates, which were of far greater It's sturdy, but its worst feature is probably its bearings and wheels, which makes for a stiffer ride. As I mentioned, it's great for beginners who might drop the sport on the spot or who are on a tight The best thing you can do is get yourself a pair of JMKs if you want something that will last.
You'll need to upgrade to edge guards, new wheels, and bearings if you want to take full advantage as well. This has been a very popular mode of transportation on my Getting around from place to place has never been so easy. more convenient than a skateboard in terms of portability and climbing hills or maneuvering A new set of wheels and bearings is highly recommended if you enjoy it enough. Several JMK Proformance wheels ended up costing as much as the skates alone, but they are worth the investment. However, edge guards are not absolutely necessary. They help preserve the decks and keep them from splintering.
Learning these is difficult, but I knew that beforehand and managed to do so. A lot of the bearings on three of the wheels seem to be in good shape, and the wheels seem to spin smoothly. As a result, the bearings on the fourth wheel keep getting worse, and the wheel is only able to spin for a fraction of a second when flicked away from the ground. As I don't know what's involved in replacing the bearing, I am not sure if these are going to be junk (after only a few weeks and a few hours of use), or if they use standard bearings and can be easily replaced.
eBay is the place to sell bad stuff if you want to sell it.
Honestly I haven't used them in a while because not long after I got them I sprained my ankle pretty badly (different incident) and I haven't used them a lot since then. The only thing I can say is I have watched multiple videos and tried them out in a few different ways and still haven't been able to master the movement. In order to start, I’d like to set out my hands on a smooth surface with some type of wall I can lean against. My goal is to love them and use to them, so I will keep trying however, I realize it is very difficult.
It is good for my son, and I like it also. As they arrived, they found that the trucks had a few nicks in the paint. Although they were stiff in the beginning, my son worked them out, and now they skate fine. If it wasn't for the paint chips, they would have been a 5 star purchase.
