Light is not really the goal here. Since I was hunting for a cool pair of shoes, they seemed to fit the bill I sent them back because I was wearing summer hiking socks. A new smartwool ultra-thin yarn from Otoh It was the light crew sock that I found to be the best summer sock, better than wigwam or.
If your feet sweat a lot and you are on your feet for more than twelve hours a day, these socks are ideal. Cotton socks used to be my favorite, and I found it hard to justify buying such expensive wool socks, but they were well worth the cost. My work involves spending the entire year outdoors on my feet on an oil rig. The quality of cotton socks left much to be desired when working nights in sub-zero temperature conditions. Intervals of strenuous work are followed by periods that are nearly stationary, in which there is not much walking involved. Upon putting them on, I found that my feet had become all sweaty and that they would become cold after wearing I was amazed by the difference these wool socks made. When you are going to use them on a regular basis, they are well worth the money.
They are of very high quality, and I expect to have them for a decade or more.
Socks that stay up, are comfortable and nice to wear. The pants I wear with my Scout (BSA) uniform go extremely well with them. to wear a sock liner when I wore these with my "heavy" (I weigh 3 lbs. But they make perfect riding boots too!) I have my hiking shoes with me. As a fan of Thorlos' music, I used to listen to it. To make my socks as well as my body warm, I've switched to Merino wool socks from Smartwool. It is recommended. UPDATED
Sadly, one of the socks had a manufacturing defect that I discovered about four months after I'd bought it (and only wore it when I first saw it). As a result, I contacted GoBros and received a new pair of shoes without any trouble. There is no better customer service than that provided by GoBros This is top-notch!.
I love the way they feel so Paying so much for only a pair of socks was a bit of a concern for me, but it was My purchase of two more pairs turned into three. This is really what they're all about! If you live in an area where it gets really cold, I'd suggest buying these. The socks I wear in Chicago are perfect for days under 15 degrees and with warm shoes or just tennis shoes--they keep me warm and comfortable all day long. Thank you! I got the job done! The best way to keep your toes warm! Thanks a lot.
My first impression of these socks was that they were the perfect Foot width is very wide and instep is very high on mine. As a woman, I have the difficulty of finding socks that are comfortable, without being too supportive. I have worn these socks for several months now without any discomfort I like how they support my foot and allow me to breathe well during mile walks. Aside from that, they are also easy to clean.
My only complaint about these socks is their high price tag, but I keep buying them because they are also the most comfortable and durable socks I have Walking a lot keeps my old feet in good shape, and I'm sure these help them.
Each pair of socks is fantastic. I have found that these socks are light, but they are approaching a medium weight, which is still appropriate for summer hiking, but they are more than light.
