In an attempt to try them out, I bought fifteen pairs of darn toughs because they seemed awesome. After two wears, one pair has a huge hole in it! What the heck! Were you under the impression Therefore, I have to ship them myself despite them being covered by a lifetime guarantee! A pair of socks costs half as much. The Kirkland brand hiking wool socks are the best, and I have been buying them for years. and I would wear out several pairs for the cost of just one pair of Darn Tough socks, I picked up several pairs. In any case, I bought a pair of DT socks to give them a try because I have heard so much about them. There is a big difference between the Kirkland socks and those from Nike. The Kirkland socks are much more substantial and thicker than Nike's socks. In that case, you would be wrong, but you might think that's better. There is a loose cloth weave in the second picture, which not only increases the thickness, but also causes bunching and pilling issues. My favorite DT socks are the tight ones with a tight weave. I live in San Diego, and hike mostly in warm weather, so the Kirklands tend to stretch more. The DT socks are 3% stretchier than the Kirklands, so they slightly better fit over time. With a higher content, DT holds up better over the long run, as dryers are hard on elastic. In addition to being more comfortable when new, it is also more comfortable when cleaned. As you can see by the example on the left, the DT fits low on the calf. I like that myself, and there are other sizes and styles.

During my shifts as a warehouse worker, I spend ten hours on my feet and wear out socks at an alarming rate. It was a surprise when I got them to enjoy them, but I was wrong about that. (6 Month Update) After 6 months, I am still in love with I have changed the rating from 4 to a big 5. This team has done exceptionally well in keeping up.
