It's very simple to roll them up.
I am 5. Size 12 fits and looks great for someone who is 8 feet tall and has a 31-inch waist. They aren't overly bulky in the least.
Although the spf isn't specified, the pants are fairly opaque, and I don't believe UV light can penetrate them, though I can't guarantee this.

I bought one pair for a trip to Africa that I had planned. The pants came in handy in this situation. They were soft, wrinkle-resistant, and stain-resistant. The ability to have so many secure pockets for my phone, wallet, currency, and other valuables freed up my hands to take pictures, etc. when I returned home. I immediately placed a second order for two more pairs. br>An added bonus was knowing that I could pair these slacks with a more "dressy" top and go to a restaurant without worrying about a dress code. I am extremely pleased.
The pants are comfortable and true to size, with enough stretch to keep them from being too baggy in the thighs and a neat appearance. Although the side elastic is acceptable, I prefer pants with back elastic to avoid gaps. The belt, which works similarly to a seat belt, aids in a secure fit. The inseam is a little too long for me, but it's easy to hem. They were easy to wash and air dry overnight, with no shrinkage. I would have given 5 stars if not for the fact that all of the pockets and zippers add more weight to the fabric than I anticipated for quick-drying, lightweight pants. The front pockets are extremely deep, falling just below the waist. It's difficult for me to reach for items or have items in my pockets while hiking or climbing stairs, for example. Otherwise, these are the pants I would recommend.
I'm a 79-year-old female with a height of 5'7' and a weight of 137 pounds. My back bears the brunt of my weight. I was concerned about the fit because not all of the parameters in the size chart for a size 10 pant, which I always wear, matched my measurements. Nonetheless, these are a good fit. br>PROS: The fabric is amazing: Softly stretchy and light in weight. br> When wearing utilitarian pants, the top of the pant just covers my belly button, which is a comfortable position for me. br> The waist expansion bands are on the sides rather than the back, allowing for a smooth fit over my backside. br> The pockets are deep, and the ones on the thighs are large enough to hold a large cell phone. The pockets' zippers appear to be quite sturdy, and they have little pull cords to help with zipping. br> They merely appear. I like how it looks on me.
CON: When I walk, they actually swish. I'll wait and see if it's an issue when I go hiking.
These hiking pants are absolutely fantastic. They felt completely at ease while hiking and climbing. I wore them on the motorcycle with leggings underneath because it was 50 degrees and raining, and they kept me warm when it was cold but I never felt hot, even when I had to remove my jacket during the hike. They're super stretchy and have a lot of pockets, which I like. I would strongly advise these pants for any hike!.
"MIER Women's Quick Dry Cargo Pants Lightweight Tactical Hiking Pants with 6 Pockets" were exactly what I needed for hiking excursions while on a cruise, with plenty of secure pockets to hold extra camera batteries, my passport, and any cash I needed. The pants have a good quality to them. The zippers are of excellent quality and run smoothly. Because the description stated that these ran true-to-size, the elasticized waistband allows for those extra pounds that come with a cruise. I ordered a size 4 in addition to my regular size 2 - in case something goes wrong The 4's were the first to arrive, and they were too tight to move or gain weight. The 2's were impossible for me to zip. So that you don't think I'm exaggerating - Eddie Bauer required me to return a size 2 Petite because the pants were too big. I ordered a size 6 in the hopes that it will fit me as well as most size 2s.
What I look for in particular: Comfort, functionality, and a simple aesthetic are all features of this piece. I was overjoyed to discover that these pants fit perfectly the first time I tried them on! First and foremost, the fabric (nylon) is excellent. I like to wear spandex because it keeps me cool. It's very light and thin. I easily become hot, and the fabric appears to be breathable and moisture-resistant. wicking. br>br> Second, the fit and design are ideal; they sit in the middle of the body. waist (comfort), the belt provides a secure hold, and the leg bottoms can be folded easily stay put (short legs) and I love the (6) POCKETS on these pants (which are hard to come by for women's pants)! br>br> I'm a recent convert to the MIER brand. I hope to buy more MIER women's products in the future! br>br>Another thing to keep in mind is that
- Type of body: petite and athletic; 5'11" and 115 lbs; br>br>- I ordered a size 2 and it fits perfectly. br>br>- When they walk, they make a'swishing' noise, but it doesn't bother me. br>br>- I'm not sure why this pair of pants was described as "thick and heavy" by one of the previous reviewers. They are NOT thick and heavy; instead, they are THIN and LIGHT. It's possible that they were referring to a different Mier pant style.
They're comfortable to wear and have a higher waistline for less embarrassment when bending over. For me, the only drawback is that the material (while very comfortable) will show pantylines. These will look great with a longer shirt, and unlike some other brands, they don't require you to size up two sizes.
I really like how it fits. Light as a feather. It's not too noisy, and it's a nice place to be. It wasn't too long or shot for me because I'm 5'4" tall. I'm excited to put it on and go hiking with it. This is an excellent purchase.
