My previous compressor had to be modified with a twin headed hose (in order to attach a Presta valve fixture to it) to maintain the tire pressure in my bike. With these adapters, I will never have to think about that again when I acquire an inflator To inflate the presta valve tires, they do need to add a few more steps In order to make finding them easier when needed, I keep my adapter attached to my bicycle at all times. My adapters need to be removed first so the little nut on the Presta valve can be loosened so the air vent can open. Once the adapter is reattached to the presta valve, it must be screwed back on again. Once the tire is inflated, I can use a Shrader compressor to put air in it. The adapter must be removed after inflation so the nut on the Presta valve can be tightened again to prevent air from leaking out of the tire. The adapter and cap are then reinstalled. The valves need to be installed and make them readily accessible the next time. To summarize, the design of the Presta valves (themselves) make them a pain The design of their product seems to yield essentially no benefits over the Shrader system (from what I can see). Presta valve adapters do not simplify the use of Presta valves they just allow you to use your Shrader inflator on a bike equipped with a Presta valve. As for the adapters, I think they're excellent in general and would recommend them to anyone wanting to use a Shrader pump on a Presta valve.
