How Our Score Is Calculated

Product Description

There is little that can be faulted about the Minion DHF's tread design, which employs a balance between speed and traction when braking and cornering. So it's probably why it's one of the most copied tires in the mountain biking world.
This is an intermediate compound configuration typically found in The 3C MaxxTerra offers greater traction and softer ride than the 3C MaxxSpeed, yet it wears better and is less resistant to rolling
The sidewalls of select mountain tires are made of EXO, a material that offers extreme cut resistance and abrasion resistance. In addition to being densely woven, this fabric is also lightweight and highly flexible, allowing the tire to function as intended. The EXO Protection provides excellent sidewall protection on extremely rocky and treacherous trails where sidewall cuts and abrasions are common.
When sealed to the rim or left rim-free, the Tubeless Ready bead secures to the rim, whether or not it is innertubeless.

Questions & Answers

Which ones are tubeless and which ones are tubed? I am wondering if my 27 and those work together. What do you think of the diamondback hook on the mountain bike?

Your rims can be tubeless or tube-equipped, so you can run them with or without a tube. As for tubeless riding, my son uses them on his Enduro 27 while I ride my Stumpjumper 29ers tubeless. By the way, This set of tires is great!

This tire has a TPI of 15 what is that?

Resolution of 120 pixels per inch

This tire has a real size of 29 x 3. It has 0 points The 27th point. There are five in the picture! ?

A total of 29 of these were ordered. The result was 0 and that is what I got.

The Grand Canyon Vulcan is my new favorite front tire
5/5

I have it paired up with a Maxxis Agressor rear tire on my Santa Cruz 5010, which makes it an awesome I used to be an XC racer many years ago, and I find these to be not the fastest due to weight and While there are some short comings to this tire, its overall grip and corning ability make more than up for it. My go-to tire is now the tire I use on everything from local urban trails to use at the Pisgah National Forest.

I love the tread pattern on this tire! It's super aggressive
5/5

I love the tread pattern on this tire! MTBers will get this, but I literally pick a line going uphill and it pulls me along that line. Duh, sounds obvious, but MTBers understand this. Even if you get tired and start twisting the handlebars while going uphill to keep your balance, most tires are forgiving and you are able to do so. I must say that these DHFs really grab the terrain and keep that line! I keep my bars level and keep my balance while going up with them as well. The tire earns its keep when it is employed on downhills. Your confidence will grow when you descend, twist through switchbacks, or go over the rocky technical stuff. Super grippy and keeps you on your line. The tread on this tire is still as good as when I bought it 200 miles ago. In the near future, I will replace my rear DHR, but my front DHF should last me a bit longer!.

I think it's one of the better tires I've ever used
4/5

Tire prices for mountain biking are always a point of contention for me. When you think about how long they last and how durable compared to my truck tires these are, the price is absolutely ridiculous. It was just a matter of being clear about where my perspective lies. * Of all the tire brands I have already tried, and there are a lot, Continental is my favorite. Maxxis Minion DHF has had the longest life span of all of my tires. About 27-28 degrees Celsius is the temperature I run these tubeless Use Orange Seal tire sealant on the rear tire with 30 psi. With a travel of 6" my bike is a full suspension bike. My preferred riding terrain is the Single Track in the Colorado Rockies, where I ride about once a week. There are many terrain types out there, from damp forest to dusty, rocky high desert. I do not ride in winter or in It was a replacement tire for the same one I had since April 2019. I wore this tire from April 2019 to I believe that this tire has exceeded the life of other tires I've ridden. It is even longer than those like Specialized Butcher Grid, Purgatory Grid, Ground Control, Kenda Nevegal, and a few other models. It took me three months before I could rely on those tires for traction because of the loss of traction. It took me more than 2 months to ride the Nevegal for more than 2 months. As well as great traction in braking and climbing, Maxxis Minion DHF provides outstanding handling. Until recently, I didn't notice any fade from either my eyebrows or my eyelashes. fell off very rapidly. But I didn't really care as I put lots of hard miles on this tire. It's impressive that they held up so well for so long, then the fall off was severe and dramatic. I would recommend this tire to anyone who rides Even though I still think $70 is ridiculous for a bike tire, I think at least these will not end up costing me more than my truck tires in the long run like my Kenda's and Specialized tires did.

I am stunned
5/5

Keep your hands clean at all times. I am impressed by my first ride I am stunned. In comparison to the Bonty Chapacabra that previously was on there, this tire is vastly more reliable. I am tracking the trek Stache 5 exactly where I think it should be tracking. As I'm not sure I have really put the tires to their maximum capacity, it is fooling my brain. Having no slip was strange to me, considering how much I lean over and still have no problem. The way you said it is very good. The wheels roll slower to me, but I think that's just my brain talking. I will update the review after I ride them a few times, set their pressure correctly, and set them up tubeless. It's still not clear if I'm going to keep the Chapacabra in the back, put another big ddf or a big dhr. Colorado's front range is the place where the trails are. Getting there requires a steep climb of 60 minutes and a ripping descent.

A downhill tire on a XC hard tail is totally out of the question! I like the way these 29er plus tires look on my bike and they also grip
5/5

You can ride them on any terrain, and they'll love it. A 29x3 matrix. The XC hardtail on my bike is tubeless with a 0" setup. I can barely fit them on my setup, but they work. Because I'm just a regular dude with a bike and not a professional or anything, I like the look and the grip of these tires. It does not matter how fast you are or how high you jump. In addition to riding for fitness, I enjoy the fun I have when I ride the trails. So far, these tires have been great with no issues.

Specialized Butcher has replaced me (and I expected more)
3/5

This tyre was the talk of the town. Butchers are an excellent way to add layers because they do not keep air out, but still have tons of wear left on them. Since I didn't want to be stuck with a flat tire on a long day's ride, I bought the Maxxis DHF to replace it. Even though I have not yet reached 100 miles on the vehicle, I have found that I skid off rocks and slide the front more than I did previously. The proper suspension settings for a FSR are 195 pounds and the correct suspension settings for me. This is something I am eager to figure out, so I will keep experimenting with the air pressure. The experience has been disappointing so far. I am no longer losing air, which is a positive. The 19th century Psi = 27).

Whenever he gets rad, Tire does it
5/5

Whenever he gets rad, Tire does it. As a replacement for my Maxxis Tomahawk, I used this blade. The rear of the vehicle. The fact that it is popular has something to do with that. I rode in sandy, loose over rock, loose over hard, rock gardens, and gravel in southern California, hardpack, paved, rocky, loose over hard, and hard pack, on loose over hard surfaces. Whatever you throw at it, it takes My ride has about 100 miles on it, and I find it provides me with the right balance of traction and speed. Despite the fact that it's not a race tire, I have no problems climbing loose gravel at grades of 18%+. The front of my ring is also a DHF, but it is a different compound, and it is much less flashy. Taking to the streets on a 2016 Kona Process.
