Questions & Answers
I fill my tire/tube with the adapter valve, then remove it right away. This could be the problem if you leave it on the valve stem after it's been filled. Best of luck to you!
This set now includes both Schrader and Presta plastic caps, which was updated in July 2021. Even though they weren't in the photos or description, I was surprised when they arrived with them.
I'm not sure where this item came from, but I was pleased with its quality for my bicycle.

I read a lot of positive feedback on these. Don't believe the naysayers; they're wrong. Those who claim that they don't don't know how to use them properly. They have the ability to convert. This isn't meant to be a long-term solution. They're designed to convert your valve temporarily while it's being filled with air. You can't just turn them on after they've been filled with air. You get rid of them. Then, to keep the air out, close the Presta valve. The converter can then be screwed back on to the valve to HOLD it in place, but it isn't ready to go yet. Remove the coverter, open the Presta, and replace the Converter when ready to refill with air. fill the container with air Rinse, lather, rinse, rinse, rinse, rinse, rinse, rinse, rinse, rinse repeat. They've been with me for months. They're fantastic.
Presta valve is almost universal on road bikes. In my garage, I have a Ryobi Air Compressor that I use to inflate my bicycle tires. The issue with these is that the skinny part of the adaptor (where you place your Schrader pump) is slightly too long. Some air escapes through the adapter's side as a result of this. It will continue to inflate your tires, but it will be unable to do so as you approach higher pressures. So that's what I mean when I say "soft of works," and thus the 3-point rating. stars. In a pinch, it'll suffice, but not on a regular basis.
Presta valves were fully opened, and Mobi brass adapters were screwed on. Two different standing air pumps (one that could fill schrader and one that could fill presta) were used, each with its own set of heads. Even when pushed all the way down, neither pump would fit on the valve properly. There was no air release, and the clipping device wouldn't lock onto the valve stem. Both pumps work perfectly fine without these adapters. No matter how many brass adapters I tried, none of them worked. I am extremely dissatisfied with my purchase and will be returning it.
I just got these and took off the cap from the Presta valve, unscrewed the lock on the top of the valve about 3/4 of the way, and screwed on an adapter. My air compressor's schrader head performed flawlessly, and I was able to inflate my tire. It doesn't get any more straightforward than that. I decided not to leave the adapter in place, so I unscrewed it and replaced the cap, then reinstalled the locking nut on the Presta valve.
I bought these to use with my Topeak bike pump and a car compressor because the Presta valve has always been too flimsy to hold. It's suitable for both of them. I screwed the Mobi Lock adapter on after fully opening the Presta valve. Both the compressor and the Topeak pump had a good connection to the adapter and were able to push air into the tube with ease. br>br>I think $5 for five of these is a good deal, but it's probably more than I need, and if I could, I'd buy less for less. It's never a bad idea to have a few extras on hand.
Presta valves are installed on my recumbent trike. I purchased an electric tire inflator and had to use their Presta to Schrader adapter because the inflator's chuck was designed for Schrader valves. Unfortunately, the inflator's adapters were useless because they leaked air and I couldn't get a tight fit with them. So, because these Schrader adapters have a rubber O-ring, I ordered them. The other adapters didn't have a ring inside, but this one does, and it makes for a nice airtight fit. When I used the adapters to attach the inflator chuck to the valves, it worked flawlessly with no hissing or leaking air. I installed a Schrader adapter on each Presta valve and obtained some free Schrader valve caps from a local bike shop because I intend to leave the adapters on indefinitely. I'll have the bike shop enlarge the valve holes in the wheel so I can use Schrader tubes when I get new tires. These adapters, in the meantime, are fantastic!.
These are necessary because of valve stems, which I despise. These add-on parts, on the other hand, allow the valve to be used. I need to take it out to get the valve loose enough to fill the tire. I then take it out again to tighten the valve after the tire has been filled. If not, it will leak. It's not the fault of this part; rather, it's a problem with the strange valve.
I did some research and came across this hack on the internet, which is simple and straightforward to use. You'll save time and money by doing so.
