Those shocks have a separate oil reservoir, like the Vivid R2C or Monarch Plus, which they use to pressurize the internal floating piston (IFP). It is not necessary to use such an adapter if your bike has a "single barrel" shock, which is 95% of the bikes out there.
I used this adapter for a Rock Shox SID 2000 Hydra air XC. I am not sure if it will fit yours.
My copy is also that one. There is a lot more marzocchi in this one
The adaptor does replace the cap, but the cap itself is not replaced.

In both cases, I used the tool to service a monarch rt3 deluxe as well as a monarch rt. Ensure that the thread is inserted in a straight, precise manner. It was crossed in front of me You won't have any trouble threading this extremely soft metal so be careful not to bog it down. In addition to what others have mentioned, it is best to remove the adapter and pump as one unit rather than removing the adapter first. Once again, be careful not to overtension the hose when it is being unthreaded. control us by the grapes, and we are required to buy this proprietary tool in order to maintain your IPF system. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I think it could be cheaper, but if it's necessary, shouldn't you be able to get it anyway?.
If you are servicing or rebuilding your shock, you will need this tool to fill the IFP with air. There is a problem because they say after filling to unscrew the adapter from the pump BUT it holds the inner schrader valve down so low that about half the air escapes, so it is ineffective. There is a special tool you buy, and it SHOULD work! The above statement is a lie. It's time to come up with a good tool. There are a lot of things I don't like about With an old Fox TALAS fork I replaced a Rockshox fork with, it is a far superior bike! I'm even more excited about it now that I am working on it!.
I bought the adapter, but its gasket is too thin and this causes it not to withstand air pressure, air comes out when 100 PSI is reached. Luckily the suspension has a cover with a similar thicker gasket and this helped me to solve the problem.
What's the reason? WHAT'S the reason? In addition, if that tiny object could be hit by an arrow A new ring is pretty much always needed when the one on it tears. The fact remains, however, that this product works well for the job, is fairly inexpensive, and can be purchased with little difficulty. The adapter gets 5 out of 5, while the Rock Shox gets 1 out of 5.
To go with my vivid air shock, I bought this. The design of which is terrible. Rockshox recommends using this air can charge tool in the Rockshox manual to get 200 PSI out of the small piggyback air can. It is only the O- that is causing the problem There is a size problem with the ring. If I had the O-ring attached to the piggyback can, I could get it up to about 100 PSI An air leak could start due to a blown out ring. In order to fix the problem, I had to go to the hardware store. A ring. I found that the inside diameter and length of the one that worked were about 4mm and 1mm. The diameter of the drum is 5mm. I was able to make it work.
The product is manufactured and machined well. Compared to the old adapter which I misplaced, I find it easier to connect and disconnect with its knurled knob. My older Marzocchi fork does not directly fit into this, but I had hoped it would. Unlike the nylon, this will not be able to insert deeply enough to establish a connection but will allow you to partially thread and hold in place to air up the fork. However, this will not be Due to the fact that this gadget does not claim to work with these forks, I don't fault it or deduct from this.
If you own a Rock Shox Monarch Plus rear shock, you are required to own this adapter. As indicated by the instructions, it is necessary to charge the IFP chamber to 250 psi. Whether you need to repair a leak in the shock or rebuild it, you will need an adapter to connect the high pressure pump. I ordered an adapter on Amazon before I knew that my shock must be disassembled before I realized it wasn't necessary. My rear shock performed properly after I got the IFP chamber back up to 250 pounds per square inch. What a relief.
The Rock Shox air pump should be included with it, but it is If you wish to add air to a Dual Air spring suspension fork, you must do this. When I assumed the Rock Shox air pump was specifically designed for Rock Shox air forks, I was an idiot. This pump fits with a schraeder valve, but it's a generic hand pump The Rock Shox label is on it, however.
