The smaller air chamber means that when the air is compressed, The result is a softer riding feel at the beginning of travel, and it ramps up more quickly as it nears the end. In essence, it prevents your air pressure from falling too low, causing you not to bottom out as much. description of the seller is a bit sketchy, as I thought I was purchasing one token, but instead received five, increasing the value of the purchase quite Be sure to do your research as these aren't compatible with every fork. In accordance with the Rockshox (SRAM) website, "Black bottomless tokens are compatible with Solo Air forks of the following brands" Revelation, Reba, SID, Bluto, Reba). an appropriate size socket because using one with an adjustable wrench will scratch your precious soft aluminum cap, which is 24 mm (but you can verify this for yourself).
Then I went one token at a time, put all three in, dropped the pressure by 20 psi and now my pressure is As the tire turns over small bumps (that you barely notice now), it stays planted, and the tire ramps up perfectly on big impacts. I am 215 pounds and only encountered fork bottom once while riding the nastiest trail in Georgia (Stanley's gap), and that was after launching from a five to six foot rock ledge and landing flat on the board. Helped a lot with brake dive. I used to be able to mush my way through most of the travel and hard brake sections on downhills. Taking the clampers off, it starts to ramp up and about an inch of dive is felt on the first pull. You'll love them when you get the combination of pressure and pucks in there. If you dislike the feel of your fork, get these and play around with them. Likewise, if you drop your pressure like I did, don't forget to adjust your rebound a bit.
It has a diameter of After starting to do some jumps and drops on the trails, my front shock would consistently bottom out. As a result of my research, I decided that I needed to add some bottomless tokens to make the compression profile more aggressive. However, when I opened the shock to install these, I found that my valve cap had no threads on the inside, so I could not use them. The valve cap had to be threaded for bottomless tokens to replace the old one.
This is a great tool for tweaking suspension settings. In most cases, setting up my RockShox SID was hard for me because I could never figure out how to set it My travel would be easily blown over if set at a lower pressure to allow for more bump compliance. In contrast, if I increased the pressure so I wouldn't bottom out, the fork would feel I was able to fix my problems in just a few minutes by adding bottomless tokens. Now I can set a little lower pressure while avoiding bottoming. Similar to high speed compression dampening, it works by adjusting the speed of the compression. In addition to the ease with which the tokens can be adjusted, the design has the advantage of being able to adjust them There is just one step to remove the air from the fork, then you have to remove the air cap on the air stanchion side. Nice design and great product. If you are having trouble setting up your fork, this is highly recommended.
I upgraded my SID and Reba forks, both of which are excellent. As a result of watching a few YouTube videos about token benefits, I decided to give it a go. The forks on both of my bikes are less prone to bottoming out, and the smaller bumps are smoothed out. This is a wonderful addition.
I was able to adjust the length of the sektor 140 mm, and it fits like a glove. A single token brings like 6 tokens, which means there is no shortage. To my fork, I added three. The air is propelled much more efficiently.
RockShox air forks NEED a set of these to fine-tune spring rate.
This is what I got for my Salsa Bucksaw with my RockShox Bluto. There should be no problem with these.
