Which one is this and which one is the competition? Or is this one the competition?

With the new "Steel" version, we now use a microfiber cover and DNAx padding to make this a more durable and comfortable seat. There will be no "Comp" level saddles available in the future.

Does it have a waterproof coating?

The seat is made out of something NASA designed so if you accidentally leave it out for a short period of time or if you get wet on a ride, it won't absorb the water into the foam like some seats do because it is made out of something like that.

It's time to saddle up and ride
5/5

I Am 584). My stock Bontrager saddle has served me well for 12 years, but I thought it was about time to upgrade. The steel was the best choice for me due to price and durability My experience with WTB saddles is limited since I have never purchased one or ridden one. Visited the WTB web site and read the terms and conditions I entered my physical information into their tool so they could help me determine what saddle size would fit me most comfortably. I received the saddle, and my first impression was that it looked wonderful & was made of high quality leather The maker did a good job. Having a microfiber cover in all black and with a subtle imposed logo looks great. A stitching issue and a construction issue were not found. After a few rides, I immediately noticed that I was more stable in the saddle, especially when I was The steeper the hill, the more energy I expend It took me quite a while to get used to riding up it, but after I did, I was much more comfortable riding it To date, I have not had any problems with a sore butt or discomfort caused by In the past, I have operated a double, single, and even a triple bicycle as long as 2+ hours A downhill slope. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the WTB Volt saddle. As long as it holds up, I wouldn't be afraid to spend more on one of the more expensive saddles made with lighter rails (cromoly or titanium, not carbon if you're spending I appreciate the time you took to read my review, and I hope it was helpful to you.

Fits well with a narrow profile
5/5

The upgrade is from Entity Assault (from Polygon)*ride upgrades from 12 There are no need for padded shorts for 20 miles
heats up to 114°
NO need to wear socks.
I'd pay this amount if I could! I got the Narrow sit bones because I have 100mm sit bones. I couldn't be happier with the upgrades I've made to my hardtail. The best thing I could have done. Here's an update It is extremely rare that I give 5 stars to a product, which occurs only when it exceeds my expectations. I rode on flowy trails through 100 degree heat near Scottsdale for 40 miles. The right sit bone on my right side began bothering me about 27 miles in, and I felt it becoming more so as time passed. The shorts do not have any padding. The last time I felt discomfort on the bike, I had been on the bike for almost 4 hours. So on my 1st break of the day, I took a couple vitamin I's and sat on a concrete bench for 30 minutes, then I got back on my bike and noticed that the irritation on my sit bones had been relieved. Even after riding for another 13 miles, I felt barely any tenderness, which went away after a couple of hours. After the 13 mile ride, there was no pain or soreness the next day (my quads disagree). As far as the seat is concerned, even if I rode for 40 miles and 7 hours, that would be nothing compared to the ride I had with this bike. The Volt titanium that I got with my new IZZO pro turned out so good that I bought one for my new laptop in the mail. WTB, you did a great job! In order to review the titanium version independently, Amazon won't allow me to add a couple of notes, so I will do so In comparison, the narrow titanium volt has a more race-oriented look Friendliness, padding is of a different type and isn't as plush as others. In spite of this, the saddle remains comfortable because of the little flex at the saddle base. It is not heavy at all. There might not be as much comfort on this new carbon bike as the heavy chromoly rail version, but the point was to keep it as light as possible. hopefully I won't be sitting for as long on this bike - definitely geared towards more aggressive riding than XC. The saddles are great and I am very happy with them. When compared with the Ergon SM, there are two stars more.

The 2020 election compared to the 2016 election The 2020 election compared to the 2016 election With the exception of the carbon rail version, I own a WTB Volt 150 at every price point and for every model from 2019
3/5

In comparison with all other Volt models, I have found the Titanium rail model with DNA padding to provide the best level of comfort. There is less comfort in the lesser models, which have a firmer pad. As soon as the 2020 model was unboxed, I immediately felt it in my hand and noticed that it was more like the 2019 Volt models, which had less comfortable, harder padding and covers (sub titanium). Additionally, the 2020 model seems to weigh four grams more than the 2019 model. I think it would be best to send back the 2020. There is no point in paying over $100 for a saddle that you will not like. Please tell me if anyone knows why WTB made these changes, and I'd appreciate it if you could provide some information about them.

I love how comfortable that is! It's great to be alive! Those hypes are real! Saddle that is comfortable
5/5

If you believe reviews stating you don't even think about this saddle once you've ridden it, then you won't regret There is something very satisfying about it. While I formerly rode a narrow WTB Rocket V, steel, for many years (on a since-retired Camber 29 stolen from 2013). To replace the stock saddle on my replacement bike (2013 Stumpy Comp 29), I went with a narrow Volt saddle made out of steel. Then, I used the Fit Right feature of the WTB website, which suggested a In the end, I decided to order the Volt med, chromoly after second guessing the thinner padding of the Volt compared to Myself and a few others have ridden it in the Colorado Front Range about 15 times already. I love that there is gel padding on the Volt. ***** Given that I've already spilled the beans about A saddle sore issue is happening to me on the new saddle, but it is primarily due to my age and the need for a few days between rides at age 50. Keeping my bike off of the ground is so difficult for me. In a few months, my own seat will become used to the new saddle (and toughen up a bit), so that I can ride every other day and not get sore from it. The aim is to do consecutive days on a regular basis. It doesn't matter if I accomplish this goal or not I will report on the long-term plan The saddle is of excellent quality and can be used for many years.

The rails on the chair are bent, but the cushion is comfortable
3/5

I used the saddle on a couple of trail rides and encountered some bending in the rail. A brief update I contacted WTB, and they promptly emailed me back and offered to replace the key. When I receive the new one, I will provide an updated review.
