Questions & Answers

Will this be sufficient for an Aventon Adventure?

I don't own an Aventon, but it makes no difference; the tube's diameter is fairly standard, with two sizes: 2 (the most common size) and 30 (the largest size). 9 or 30. a little something I looked up the technical specifications for the Aventon Aventure online and found that it is a 30. The diameter is 4mm. So I recommend checking your bike's technical specs and the Redshift available shims before purchasing this suspension seatpost.

2 mm? Is that the inside diameter of the post hole or the outside diameter of the seat post?

Is the seat post's diameter, but it doesn't really matter because it's an industry standard, and the other size is 31. 8mm. So, let's say your bike is 27 years old. This seat post is suitable for use with

Is it possible to set the suspension to be locked?

There is a lock-on feature on the ShockStop Seatpost. It does not require an out feature due to the way it is designed. The seatpost has a pre-tensioning system that can be adjusted. load - As a result, you can customize the stiffness and feel to your liking. This also means you can program it to provide you with just the right amount of movement. Because of the pre-existing conditions The seatpost can be set up so that it does not move until a certain amount of load is reached. Under normal riding conditions, you won't notice the post move unless you're on rough terrain with this setup. Furthermore, the limited travel (35mm) means that even when the suspension is active, your leg extension does not change much.br>You can also adjust the seatpost so that you "sag" into the travel 15-degrees when seated normally. 25% - which is what we usually advise. When the seatpost is used in this manner, the ride is very smooth, and the rider is in a more floaty position. br>The seatpost moves in a very natural way - Meaning, unless you hit some really big bumps, you might not notice it after just a few rides. Some people worry that constant motion will be inconvenient or hinder climbing, sprinting, or pedaling, but because the seatpost has such clear movement and is pre-tensioned, this is not the case. This isn't a problem if you're loaded.

I'm replacing a Promax seatpost with a 30mm diameter. 1 with calipers that can be read on a computer. Will you supply shims to enable me to use it?

Shims can be purchased online from a variety of sources. if you're in possession of a thirty. You'll need a 27 shim for one shim. 2mm - 1 mm shim (not available for purchase)

This is a fantastic post, but it's only for one type of rider
5/5

I don't believe it's necessary for me to reiterate what others have already stated: this seat post is incredible. But I do want to touch on one point, which is that this post is more for those who ride off road than for those who ride on roads and are looking for a more comfortable seat post. Sure, this will work for that, but I believe there is a better option, which is the thudbuster lt, which has almost triple the amount of travel distance, which wouldn't be good for a performance based rider but is perfect for someone who wants maximum comfort. Long travel reduces pedaling efficiency, so these seat posts with less travel are better for those concerned about that. If you have an ebike but rarely use it, you might want to start with the thudbuster LT because it is less expensive and provides a longer journey. With this seat post, I frequently bottom out, and when I increase the preload to prevent this, the ride becomes less comfortable, so you'll have to choose one way or the other with this one.

What a Distinction
5/5

I'll join the ranks of those who say, "I can't believe I waited so long to get one of these. " As I've grown older, I've become increasingly aware of all the potholes in the road. I recently installed a Kinekt stem after doing some research and then realized what I really wanted for a more comfortable ride was a suspension type seatpost, so I went back to the books and ultimately decided on this Redshift Seatpost. If I have one complaint about the Kinekt stem, it's that I wish it came with a stiffer spring than the one that comes with it. I was concerned that I would have the same problem with the Kinekt seatpost, but the Redshift appeared to have more adjustability, the option to add a second spring, and a sleeker design, so it seemed like the right choice. It was - for me. I fiddled with the settings a little (I'm 6'1" and around 240 pounds), then added the second spring right away. The loading phase - While slightly more "fiddly" than the Kinekt (adjustment requires removing the seatpost), once "dialed in," it's fantastic. I have mine set a little softer than a hard rider would prefer, but it seems to be just right for all the bumps I encounter - I mostly ride the Pinellas County trail, as well as the roads that lead to it. My bike is an Anyroad aluminum road bike with a composite fork from Giant - So far, I've had a more comfortable ride profile, but this has increased my desire to get out and ride once more. Pay attention to your seatpost diameter. Because my Anyroad has a larger diameter, I also needed to purchase a shim (Redshift recommends one that is at least 4" long). Is it worth it for me to have the most expensive add-on on my bike? In a nutshell, YES, YES, YES, YES, Y.

BRAVO! Redshift Sports is a company that specializes in sports
5/5

I really like your product and wish I had bought it sooner. This suspension seatpost is fantastic; I installed it on my JuicedBikes RipCurrentS and wow, what a difference it makes. It softened the sensation of all the small bumps while greatly reducing the jarring to the spine from the larger ones. Highly recommended, and well worth the slightly higher price (still cheaper than Thudbuster and Kinetic, and much nicer to look at on the bike). I'm about 220 pounds, and I had no trouble adjusting the setting to my preferred level of comfort. The seatpost is spring-loaded, so take care if you need to disassemble it to install the second spring that comes with it for heavier riders. Long story short, I called and left a message with Customer Support on Friday at 5 p. m. I couldn't be more pleased with the product and the level of customer service provided by Erik, one of the owners who also heads up Customer Support, who called me from his own private cell phone an hour later after business hours and immediately remedied the situation, which was entirely my fault. I couldn't be happier with the product and the level of customer service provided by Erik and Redshift Sports.

Keep your back in good shape
4/5

When I'm driving over bumps and potholes, etc. , I feel less impact; it does what it's supposed to. br>The only negative is that I wish I could adjust the angle of the seat saddle for the front to be slightly higher. However, it's unclear whether this is the fault of the seat post or the seat saddle itself. In any case, four out of five stars.

What a blessing to have such a great fit and finish, as well as an awesome seatpost
5/5

On my new e-bike, I mounted this seat post. As a result of the e-bike's weight, With the stock seat post, bike potholes in NYC were amplified, so I decided to use both springs, despite the fact that I weigh 180 pounds; this allowed me to set the preset at a lighter rating, which worked perfectly. Now I get the suspension effect, but it doesn't compress as much as it used to when I hit a pothole unexpectedly. It took some trial and error, but after two rides on familiar terrain, I had it dialed in. It's pricey, but it's well worth it; it completely transformed my e-bike ride. bike.

Suspension seat posts are the best of the bunch
5/5

I tried the b2 shultz, kinekt, and another seatpost that I can't remember the name of, and this one is by far the most comfortable. It is the single most important thing you can do to make your bicycle more comfortable. The seat would be the second most important consideration, followed by the hand position. This is the solution if you want the most comfort from your bicycle. It's only natural that it's the most expensive because it's also the best, and it really expands the types of bicycles you can ride by allowing you to make any bicycle comfortable to ride. It should also work on rental bikes; if you're traveling, you could simply take this seatpost with you and swap it out on a rental bike when you arrive.

This thing is a lifesaver! This is an incredible seat post
5/5

I have a low-end Salsa Journeyman gravel bike with an aluminum frame and aluminum seatpost, which is brutal after 50 miles on pavement, let alone gravel. I recently completed a 50-mile gravel ride and decided to order this seatpost ahead of time. My butt thanked me for making it heavenly. It's a little heavy, but if you're racing gravel, you're probably riding a carbon frame with a carbon seatpost anyway, so this isn't your target product. The extra half pound or so isn't a big deal if you're doing it for fun, and it'll literally save your buttocks.
