Questions & Answers

Is this the version from the year 2021?

The one I bought on here from Planet Cyclery was a 2021 model.

Is this a wire for the inside or the outside?

Good day, Alejandro. This is an example of internal routing.

What year is it? It's the thirty-first year. What's the 9th of 125mm?

They're a fantastic brand. I hope this is the solution you're looking for.

Is this the bottom that's a little more slender? I'm referring to the newer fox transfer seat post design?

Yes. It's designed to have a lower stack height, which means more length is available.

After four months, the seat clamp has broken! Update: Because the seat clamp broke, I'm lowering the rating! This is a problem that is gaining traction
3/5

Mine shattered at a distance of eight miles. br>br>Installation: br>br>Installation: br>br>Installation: After my Orbea dropper began to wear out and seize up (I used it hard and a lot), I replaced it with this one. It was extremely simple to set up. I ran the new cable (not included) through the dropper's grommet, down into the internal wired cable hose, and up into the lever mechanism, pulling the wire tight until the dropper was in the correct position, and then clamping it at the lever. From start to finish, it probably took about ten minutes. I had to adjust the height a few times before it was just right for me. In retrospect, I should have gone with a 180 or 200, but the seat still slams down pretty low when fully lowered. br>br>Operation: br>br>Operation: br>br>Operation: The dropper rises faster if I press deeper into the lever, which is silky smooth and pressure sensitive. It's simple to drop it when you need it, which I do a lot because I want this thing down on drops, jumps, dips, and sharp turns so I can get a better bike position. br>br>Appearance: I'm not going to lie: there's a lot of bike bling going on here. br>br>Delivered: br>br> Two days ahead of schedule!.

The clamp on the upper seat post is easily broken
3/5

ughh. Although the company from which I purchased this was quick, I would recommend investing in a OneUp post dropper instead. Breaks far too easily, and finding a replacement part is nearly impossible; this appears to be a common flaw (based on forum discussions). This clamp was changed for 2021, and I'm guessing no testing was done on it before it was put into production. So, a few months early, I'm packing up my bike for the winter. Fox, I appreciate it.

350 dollars and
3/5

The only issue, aside from the lack of a cable and a trigger to activate(which is what it is), is that the moment I sat on the saddle, it came right off because FOX decided why make a solid mounting mechanism when it can suck strip easily and fail instantly because "hey, it's fox" seriously disappointing and it has caused me to be unable to ride because I have no seat. I'm currently waiting for a crank bros high line.

What a scumbag with poor customer service and warranty
3/5

This dropper post is terrible, and the price is the highest I've ever paid for one. It's a hit-or-miss situation when it comes to getting your money back I used a carbon gripper in the past and four N-forces in the present. Even if it's not in the seat post, the torque is slow, and I have to lube it every ride to keep it reliable. I had it warrantied for the problem, and it came back with the same results. I attempted to contact them, but they did not respond. Fox has worn me out! Switching back to my Oneup because DVO needs to make a dropper post.

Within three months, the return began to stick
3/5

The first couple of rides were fantastic. Both ways, the action is smooth and quick. I eventually stopped hearing the "pop" of the return after a month or so. I ignored it because it was only catching for a half inch before full return. After that, it began to catch on at various levels. A very light sheen of grease will help, but it will not fully restore the condition. I messed around with the tension, but that isn't the problem. A bad bushing or ring appears to be the source of the problem grab. br>br>It's only been a few months of use (maybe 80 hours), so scheduled maintenance isn't necessary yet. The coating is also chipped in a few places, but there are no wrecks on the rocks. When it's only 3 months old, the fall isn't the best time to deal with a slow warranty process. Take it slow and easy. br>br>I gave it two stars because it was fun to work with, but 3 months before problems isn't a good sign.

Check your current cable setup first, because this is a fantastic dropper
5/5

I used it to replace my old command post, and it's a fantastic dropper. It's great, and the kashima is a nice touch. Keep in mind that the dropper end of the shift cable is used, so if your current setup is the opposite, you'll need a lever. I purchased a separate shift cable and wolf tooth dropper lever because my original lever and cable setup was different. I'm still in love.

I'm really digging this one

As an avid mountain biker, I can attest to the fact that this dropper performs admirably in all weather conditions, and the color is stunning.

It's a cinch to use
5/5

It's both functional and attractive. Internally routed configurations, in my opinion, are more difficult to set up. I used a TREK POWERFLY 4 to install mine. This dropper has proven to be extremely useful on the trails. This bike outperforms the other two I have with different droppers in terms of actuation speed, deployment certainty, sound, and smoothness.
