Just keep a close eye on the diameter. It could be on the existing seatpost, or you could look up your bike's specifications on the Trek website if it's a 30. It will fit a seatpost with a diameter of 9mm.

I recently purchased a Giant Roam Disc 3, and the seat post came with only one bolt that held the seat in place. I'm a big guy, 6'3 and 200 pounds, and every couple rides the bolt would come loose, causing the seat to point up into the sky, which isn't ideal for riding unless you're into that. So I picked up this post with two bolts, and I've driven about 50 miles without incident so far. It's money well spent to pay $20 for that peace of mind.
The main issue with this seat post is that the front screw is too close to the shaft itself, making tightening nearly impossible without a ball Allen wrench. The Allen wrench rubbed the post while tightening the screw, as seen in the third photograph.
Replacing a stolen commuter bike with a less desirable theft target was exactly what I needed for a commuting bike. On the bike that went missing, I had an expensive Thompson seat post, but this one seems to work just as well. The micro-bolt has two bolts. The only way I've found to get precise adjustments that can withstand road shocks is to use an adjust clamp. The clamps are made of metal, whereas the screws are made of plastic. machined on the Thompson, so it might not be as durable, but if someone else rides MY bike, they might as well be riding on a cheap seat post.
This post was purchased to replace the one on the used bike I purchased that was bent. I measured the diameter of the opening in the bike with a ruler and found it to be 27. 2mm. I wish there weren't so many sizes to choose from, but such is life. So far, this article has been well-written and well-suited. The matte finish of the paint, I believe, aids in the post's placement. I will update this review if I encounter any bending or other issues.
Except for the short length of the two bolts, which prevents it from having a good range of adjustment, this product would be a five-star product. That extra range was something I was hoping to find, but it wasn't there. It won't be easy to find replacement bolts for the ones that came with it.
This was purchased to replace a single-use item that had become worn. micro-bolt adjust the seatpost so that the seat tilts while I'm riding- incredibly aggravating! br>br>The seat position is held in place by two bolts, which will not come loose.
It's a good seat post for the $17 (or whatever it was) I paid, with a decent micro adjust. But it's heavy; I'm not a weight snob, but I think it's heavy; on the other hand, it's extremely long. br>I trimmed it to a safe length for what I needed, plus 40MM of wiggle room, and it's a lot lighter now.
It appears to be in good condition. The durability of the product will be determined over time. At the clamp area, the black is already beginning to fade.
