Selected User Reviews For Oury MTN Grip

Hand grips that are slightly thicker and more comfortable (dual density) for use on my mountain bike; I originally purchased a set of black grips that looked similar to these and had a lot of positive Amazon reviews
5/5

Those were just ordinary rubber grips. The material is single density and has no shock absorbing properties. After doing some more research, I discovered that these Oury grips were highly recommended, so I gave them a shot and replaced the black grips that had been on my bike for only two weeks. What a difference there is between the two. Before reaching the second harder rubber layer, you can squish these grips to feel the softer rubber (top layer). These are simple to install, but they lack the reinforced end caps, so be careful when laying down your bike or cruising between trees. These are less expensive than the Lizard Skin North Shore grips I was considering purchasing- I'm glad I decided to go with Oury.

The grip rubber's quality and properties are excellent! I've been serious about riding since 1989, and these OURY grips are fantastic
5/5

I have them mounted on every flat bar and mountain handlebar I own. Although the rubber is softer than most other grips, it is extremely durable. They're thick enough to provide superior vibration damping in both on- and off-road situations. On and off the beaten path They are not as slippery as other grips when wet because of their block design. You will not be dissatisfied with your purchase.

The grips are quite good
4/5

The grips are quite good. However, because the end is made of the same flimsy material as the rest, it may rip over time; one suggestion was to put a penny in the grip before putting it on the bike, which I did. However, I believe that a penny is too small; perhaps a nickel would be more appropriate. br>br>As a result, I never leave my bike unattended on the side of the road. But, of course, the day after I put these grips on, my bike falls over on the side of the road. Despite the fact that I had a penny in the grip, the handlebar ripped right through it. Oh well.

The Classic Bike Grip is a classic bike grip that has been around for a long time Why did you buy it? br>I recently purchased a new fixie, which included a set of stock riser bars
5/5

They were fine, but I had to shorten them because they were far too wide for riding on the street. I was in the market for a new pair of grips and knew exactly what I wanted: Oury Grips are a must-have for any fan of the brand. Advantages: br>br> br>These grips are by far the best for someone on a tight budget who also wants to save money. They're available in a variety of colors (I chose a light grey that's subtle but nice), and they're not too expensive at around $13. The grips are extremely grippy and have a good amount of padding. The groves between the bumps make it simple to wire the grips to the bar to keep them from coming loose (this is also something I do on my mx bikes). br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product. I mean, they'd only fit a 7/8" bar. You may need to use compressed air or some sort of lube to get these on a thicker bar. To get it to slide on, I had to wet both the bar and the inside of the grip, and even that was a challenge. And, as with any open-ended question, If you have an open ended bar grip, you risk punching the ends out if the bike falls. The next day after I put them on, this happened to me. It was my fault for screwing around with the grip and dropping it, not the grip's. br>br>Due to the fact that this style of bike grip has been around for a long time, many companies have copied it; however, trust me when I say that having the Oury name on your grips, rather than a rip-off brand, will earn you respect.

These grips are one of my favorites
5/5

Most of my bikes have Oury grips, which I've had for a long time. I replace them when they begin to show signs of wear. If they're really ragged, I just slice them up with a box cutter and throw them away. If I want to save them, I use a can of compressed air with a straw attached and slowly push it all the way in with some WD-40. To make it easier to get them loose, multiply the number by 40. This is an excellent product.

Grips that are extremely comfortable! The grips are extremely comfortable! I use these at work on handlebars that get a lot of vibration, and these little squishy bits of rubbery heaven absorb a lot of it
5/5

All of my coworkers adore them, and every time they're mentioned, their faces light up with pure adoration and joy. Which, now that I think about it, is quite a bit. Another reason I can't say enough about how much I like these grips!.

Bike grips that are perfect for mountain biking
5/5

A few days ago, I had the good fortune of picking up a near-perfect, all-original 1993 Specialized Rockhopper Comp. Because the stock grips had been thrashed, I ordered a set of Oury grips right away. I've been riding them for quite some time now. They've never disappointed me. br>Excellent grip and sufficient cushioning They appear to be quite attractive. Give these a shot if you've never tried them before. It is impossible to make a mistake.

(For me) it's a little too short
3/5

Unless used for very short rides, I find these grips to be too short for mountain biking. The actual grip length is less than five inches, with the inner ribbed section measuring only four inches. People with wider hands will have no room for lateral movement due to the grip's short length and raised lip on the outside. The design is fine for a motorcycle, and I've used Ourys on my MX bikes for years, but they're far too short for MTBs on multi-terrain trails. rides lasting an hour I've also discovered that on handlebars with a rough surface (e. g. , e. g. , e. g. , e. g. , e. g. , e Grip glue is required for these (shot peened, for example).
