Questions & Answers
To get the 10 mill rise or fall, simply turn it right side up or "upside down." It's designed to do so, so there are no issues with spacers, top caps, or other components. I'm very pleased with it so far; the machining is top-notch, on par with a top-of-the-line Rental stem. The clamping portion of the stem should remain in the same orientation as the rest of the stem, whether it is right side up or upside down, because you should fully tighten the bottom (or top, depending on the orientation) and then torque the top down to spec.

Updated: These are difficult to clamp to the steer tube correctly out of the box, and it's difficult to get the pinch bolts tight enough for the stem to bite down on your fork, as someone else mentioned. If you have this problem, simply remove the stem from the bike and tighten the pinch bolts as far as they will go before loosening them and reinstalling the stem. This does a few things: cleans out the threads (this stem is tapped before it is painted), cleans off the bolts of any crud, and pulls the stem together/closes the gap further than it would be able to go if it were installed in the bike. I had this issue on two different bikes and it was concerning, but I removed the stem and tightened these bolts as far as they would go and now it's flawless. I wouldn't let this deter you from purchasing this stem; I'm simply attempting to assist people who have run into this issue because it's a simple fix. I like the stem so much that I ordered a second one even after discovering this minor flaw; if I hadn't thought it was a simple fix, I wouldn't have ordered a second one. br>br>- The no gap design is nice because you don't have to tighten the bolts evenly, you can just tighten the top two down all the way and then dial in the bottom two with a torque wrench, less room for user error, easier and faster to adjust, I haven't found the sweet spot on my bike yet so I'm constantly making adjustments. They also have a fantastic aesthetic. The price is reasonable when compared to the competition; this was the cheapest stem in this style with these features that I could find. All of my boxes are checked with this stem.
Because it doesn't fit as easily as other stems, I had to force it in and open it up to fit my Fox36 fork. The finish appears to be of lower quality, similar to that of other high-end stems, and would be preferable if it were sandblasted. I prefer a simplestic look, so the "equalizer" label and other markings or cosmeric seem unnecessary. The edges are a little sharp, which left a scratch on my carbon handlebar. In any case. . . br>br>It actually works! The 10mm Rise provided me with the necessary elevation to reduce hand fatigue. I used to have a 35mm stock handlebar on my 2021 Specialized Turbo Levo and had hand fatigue even in the first 10 minutes of the Trail ride. br>br>By moving the stem to the top part of the Fork tube, which gave me 10mm rise, plus the 10mm rise using the Funn equalizer stem and the 16deg backsweep of the SQLab handlebar, I was able to alleviate my hand fatigue. From the beginning to the end of a 5-hour trail ride with minimal breaks (note: I do have an eMTB, so 5 hours with minimal breaks is a lot of mileage, lots of ups and downs), I can immediately notice the significant difference. br>br>Please note that the Funn Equalizer can also be set to a 10mm drop; however, in my case, I needed the 10mm Rise; yes, there are some cosmetic issues, but I can't complain because it did the job for my hand fatigue. I hope this has been of assistance.
Amazing and well worth the money.
What a beautiful, well-machined stem it is. The color matched the bike pretty well, and the quality was on par with other high-end stems I've used in the past. The ability to adjust the drop or rise by 10mm is fantastic. The price is very reasonable in comparison to the quality. To give myself a bit more reach, I chose the 42mm length. In this length range, it's not the lightest, but it's not far behind.
This FUNN bike stem is a fantastic product that is well-made with high-quality assembled parts and metal-plated hardware. CNC design that has been formed When I looked at the product while it was still in the box, I noticed the quality and could see how it was made in comparison to other similar products. It's from FUNN, and you'll notice the high quality right away when you put it up and use it!.
After buying a new bike, I developed a lot of hand pain, and there aren't many rise stem options. It's great to see Funn putting them together. Setup is simple, with the no-gap and top clearly marked, making set-up a breeze. a very clear picture.
I'm guessing the stem's smooth surface doesn't generate enough friction to "lock" the handlebar.
It isn't the cheapest on the market, but it is by far the best value for money I've come across. The extra spacer didn't quite fill the void left by the original stem, but a few strokes with a file made it work. I couldn't be more pleased.
