In addition to the Chester 740 bars, I used Manitou shocks and this stem on a medium frame 29" Giant Talon hardtail. Despite being 5'11" and 130 pounds, I found these to fit perfectly. Additionally, the longer stem did not add to the bit's twitching when the wider bars were on. The purchase was satisfactory to me.

There is nothing wrong with the rise or size, forgetting about the people who say it's cheap bolts they don't have to be gorilla tight in order for them to hold they do.

The Chester race face bike from RaceFace appealed to me after reading a lot about good parts for heavier/larger guys. The bike bars are extremely durable, and I locked them to my bike. I also have the Chester seat post and pedals, and they are also.

A nice looking product with poor quality parts

The stem was purchased for my DB Overdrive so that I could shorten the upright stem length. Out of the packaging it looks fine, however the bolts that come with it are of poor Clearly presented on the body of the product, there are specific torque settings—nice, but I followed the instructions to the letter and it immediately stripped the Allen bolt (I didn't even tighten it to the recommended torque, I started Anyway, now the stem is stuck on my bike, and I was unable to remove it. The sense of disbelief is so deep that I'm not even mad. It was a very disappointing product. I expected a lot more from it. Returning it would be fine with me. However, the whole thing has now been bonded to my bike. We have attempted to remove it using two different kits but haven't been successful.

It is definitely worth checking out this Race Face stem if you are trying to upgrade your bike. My original stem was 60mm and I can definitely feel the difference with how I sit on the bike. In my view, it is worth investing a little more in a quality stem when descending. You don't want it to break if you're losing speed.

This item is terrific for the price. It is of the same quality as the picture shows and is a great value. stem on my bike was preferred by the girlfriend over the 70mm stem on her bike, so I purchased a second one for her.

I was on the fence about spending almost 50 dollars on a stem

So I added it to my cart a few times before pulling it out. My product arrived in just two days, so I was really happy I decided to go with it. I'm not disappointed with how much I spent since I got what I wanted. I also really like how this stem looks on my bike. It's the perfect length and degree, which creates a very comfortable cockpit for holding the bike.
