On a 27, you can use a 26. It has 5 forks. The 29 would not be able to be used on the However, it would be appreciated if a 26 or 27 were used. Using a 29 fork, it would be 5. It was not possible to use either of the 27's. The number of forks varies between 5 and 29 on most 26-fork wheels. A Fox 36 for a 26" wheel can run a 27", but a Fox 36 for a 27" wheel cannot. Those suckaz get 5 BOOMs!
For 27 you only need under 4lbs. You'll need 29 oz with the addition of 20 oz.
According to the rush, this one uses a 218th fork so I would say it will do fine. It should not be too bad mounting the 5 fork on your bike because it will raise the front end somewhat. Make sure you account for the fact that the fork is disc-only.

Compared with the original coil spring fork, this one reduced the weight and handled high speed bumps and obstacles better.
I will be able to use these for what I am generally accustomed to doing, which is urban riding. It would be better if previous OEM forks were illegal because they present a hazard to riders. They were a reasonable value for what they offered. As a result of my short usage time on them, I have found them to have a smooth mechanism and to recover after compression easily. Neither I nor the installer noticed any difference in weight between the new forks and the previous ones. It is probably obvious to him. However, since I did not install them myself, I watched the bike mechanic do it and it took him less than 2 hours. Overall, I would give this product a 5 star rating, though I suspect hardcore $5000 MTB riders might not be too happy with it.
For a beginner's mountain bike (straight steerer tube), this is the best upgrade. Compared to the Rockshox of the same price range, lighter and better. I've had mine for over a year now, and I think I've done well over 200 hours riding it. My bike was just serviced for the first time by a bike tech, who said the seals and mechanic looked like brand-new. As much as I would like to give 6, I will give it 5. It's amazing how powerful this kit is!.
This is hands down the best fork for the money if you are replacing a Suntour springer or other similar fork. This fork is better than anything you can find on straight tube bikes.
It is super light and the best upgrade for my crusty bike. If using a 30mm crown race, make sure you have it. I had to dremel the crown race to fit a new headset. If you have some mechanical skills, you can do this by yourself. It's so light, you feel it is a totally different bike. There are eight straight steerers in this 1 1/8" width.
My Suntour XCT fork on my Diamondback Overdrive was a great upgrade that made a big difference. This fork is very light and.
Not a single negative thing to say. Those are the forks I use on my Motobecane 527ht after replacing Suntour XCTs. Upgrades I have done are the best I have ever Walking through the woods is like night and day. That would be a great book to read.
I dropped 4 pounds off my bike that I didn't realize were there until they were gone. Descents have been a lot more enjoyable.
