A fork with a 1-inch travel is required by most modern mountain bike frames. Steering tube is 1/8 inch in diameter. Because of the 1" steer tube, this fork will not fit on most mountain bikes. However, if your bike has a 1" head tube, the fork could be used. This fork, on the other hand, is devoid of disc brake mounts and V-brake mounts. Because of the brake mounts, it would be difficult to operate the front brake.
