A Red 22 is lightweight and quieter as it's said to weigh less than ten grams. You can get the PC at a relative discount if the difference is significant It is one of the best chains around- I believe there is no need to spend more money on an 11-speed chain.
The XX1 chain is better for 1x, but on the other hand the 1170 chain will work.
It is correct
I'm fine as long as it is an 11-speed.

When the pandemic hit, they were hard to find. I normally run Shimano chains, but the chains were hard to get during the pandemic. The GRX drivetrain equipped with this product was an unexpected pleasure to use. Shimano chains are directional, but this chain is not. It installs like any other chain, and you do not have to worry about it when it installs. It has the same PoweLock that they always provide, and it works just fine. It's as quiet as other chains I've used in the past. It has been a little over 1200 miles since I installed it, and I've had no problems. I consider these a good alternative, and I will keep them in mind the next time I need an 11-speed.
It is not uncommon for SRAM chains to wear well (and to be abused). As a consequence of my use of it for too long, my previous PC 1170 had stretched beyond the point where it could be repaired. The noise was immediately quieted when I put on this new one. There is also a wax-based sealant attached to it The coating is similar to lubricant. There is some disagreement among online forums regarding whether or not this lube should be left on for the first 100 miles before it needs to be removed. Their recommendation is to rub a bit of wax on a clean, dry surface because This new chain will be on the trainer for the first four days of riding, so I am leaving it there. I'll remove the tube before the Saturday outdoor ride and place Rocket Gold Lube in its place.
*Claims and disclaimers Despite liking Shimano better, I prefer all things SRAM. I like the shifting mechanism.
Could it possibly be for road use only? It was after I blew up my rear MTB mech that I received this chain. I paired it with a SRAM chainring at the front, and a Shimano based mech at The installation went pretty smoothly, but it took me a couple of times to get the chain to the right size. It was not difficult to remove links and removing the master link was a piece of cake. It appears, however, that for some reason, when the master link is put back together, the small metal contact point only goes halfway through the indentation The problem concerned me a bit, since I would struggle with all my strength to make it click in. I was able to resolve this by riding the bike. When I rode a little bit, it seemed to go in.
Keeping in mind, this chain was used on a pretty brutal MTB and street bike. There was a lot of movement in this chain, and it was extremely stressed due to its stability. The bike pedaled smoothly and made minimal noise, and the gear changes were crisp with a properly adjusted mechanism. Although after only a week of using the chain, I had broken a link. For sizing purposes, I had cut off some of the portions of the broken link I did have so I decided to replace it with some of the remaining portions. Two more times, the chain broke until I decided to buy a new one. Considering the price, I'm not really worried about the breaking as it may have been my fault in using the chain and adding or removing links irresponsibly. The one I got probably wasn't good. If you are a rider that puts your bike through a lot, you definitely should try some other wheels.
It appears that it was a mistake Marked with labels. The chain I wanted was needed quickly, and I did not have time to return it even though I paid more for the chain. There's a chain of them If a difference is made, you probably won't notice it, but you should.
This chain works well with the SRAM 1170 cassette, and that's why I gave it five stars. My cassette had been installed a while back, but I had Despite my best efforts, I was never able to adjust things correctly. It even had been looked at by a mechanic from my local LBS. There was a lot of noise and it was hard to shift. It is true that most reviews (and LBS) suggest that Shimano chains and SRAM cassettes may be interchangeable, and in some cases they may be, but this chain felt smooth and silky when I installed it on the cassette. There is a chain that SRAM recommends for using with that cassette, so I recommend you don't ignore it.
I switched to Di2 10 months ago and purchased this chain at the same time. About the same time, I began waxing my chain and decided to get another 2 so that I could wax three at once and always have a freshly waxed chain on hand. Every 7- or 8 weeks, I've been changing the chains We've been on the road for 10 days and have covered more than 3500 miles between all three It is difficult to shift all three of them because all three have become stretched beyond their breaking point. The first thing I noticed when I used my Park Tool chain checker was that all three were stretched to zero. 75 percent. There is no guarantee that this chain will last more than 1000 miles before it needs.
My only solution has been to buy them again and again. Their usefulness is based on their consumability. In addition to my regular bike, I also have 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 speed bicycles. I keep one chain for each size. It doesn't take long for MTB chains to wear out. Chains for the road, from 2500 to 4000 It took you 3000 miles to get there. the wear on chain rings and cassettes periodically (Park chain wear checker) and if replaced soon enough, they can last decades.
This chain runs smoothly, has a quick link and is very durable.
