There is no need for a spanner with these single chainring optimized bolts because the bolt has a 4 mm hex socket and the nut has a 6 mm hex socket.

Because they're 6 mm long, they'll fit any bolt on a single chainring without threaded standoffs.

The weight of four M8 x bolts and nuts is only eight grams. 75 x 5

I'm going from a 3x to a 1x conversion. Is there enough threading to add spacers if my chainline needs to be adjusted?

Yes, I don't see a problem, but you should measure it several times before torturing it.

Yes, it comes in a four-piece set with male and female counterparts.

Is it possible to use these with just a single chainring and a chainring guard?

I'm using it as a single chain ring without a guard, but I'm sure you could use one.

Are these compatible with the Shimano M391 Octalink?

Strips are very soft and easy to work with

These are made of aluminum and are extremely pliable. If you don't want to strip, be especially careful. I thought I was being cautious when I stripped two of the four.

So I went out and bought some Wolf Tooth red change ring bolts. It was a very simple modification that turned out beautifully! Don't forget to use the thread lock liquid.

Fitting is extremely precise

Simply set it and forget it. These chainring bolts fit perfectly, and despite the fact that they come with a dual hex key, it wasn't necessary to use the second one. I simply inserted the back nut, and the bolt was torqued to specification. They were made to go together.

Perfect replacements for the chainring bolts on my SRAM GX 1x11 chainring. They are of excellent quality and also appear to be attractive. Is it possible they'll be half the price? Sure, but this is America, and I applaud WTC for using the free market to its advantage. They're safe to buy.
