Questions & Answers
These two bottom brackets are pretty much similar in terms of performance for the vast majority of riders. However, you may have even more to worry about if you are gearing up for the Tour de France.
That should be the case. It was a straightforward process to upgrade from 9000 to 9100.
The HOLLOWTECH II cranksets are all compatible with it

Installing Windows can be a piece of cake if you have the right tools. It still looked okay though I replaced Ultagra BB that had 12k on it, but Dura-core is a much better choice My guess is that Ace should be batter. YouTube videos will show you how to install it and save you some money on mechanics.
Bottom brackets using Shimano parts are notorious for having poor bearings in Trek bikes There were no problems installing this and since it is new, there was no noise when pedaling. It is also nice not to hear the clicking and crunching sounds. When I have driven a few miles, I will report back.
It eliminated the noise from the bottom bracket and made me 5 watts faster on the pedals, almost like a little hamster inside me.
It is a great product at a great price, and it has less drag than a Chris King, and you not only discard it, but also don't bother to service it. It has 6k miles, and we haven't had any problems with the bearings. The outer cups are the same size as my BB shell, and it looks great.
I have previously used this bottom bracket on two other projects. On average, I seem to get about 2500 to 3000 miles out of a set of tires. As long as it is installed correctly, it doesn't make any noise. I expect it to work.
It is made of high quality smooth material and is light weight.
I was pleased with how quickly the product arrived and how it worked. My bike has some Dura-Ace parts, so I appreciate that the converter allows the older tool to be used with the newer, smaller bracket size. It weighs 66g, and I am happy to report that I own some Dura-Ace parts. You're the best!.
It spins well enough, but is very light. Besides not being as forgiving or free spinning as the higher end models, it is fine for its price point.
