For mountain bikes with Avid BB5 or BB7 mechanical disk brakes, this is a must-have item. My BB7's performance improved drastically as a result of this. The bike came with cheap standard cables when it was new. The Jagwire cables made it possible to stop with just one finger. I was planning on upgrading to hydraulic, but that is no longer the case. that's excellent.
The ideal cable configuration. On a 212cc motorized bicycle, I use these to power zoom cable pull hydraulic calipers with 203mm rotors front and back. It's a night and day difference from the jag wire sport cable housings I was previously using. There is no sponginess at all. I would strongly suggest it.

My mountain bike has a front disk brake and a V-brake. brakes in the back The brakes were adequate, but a true panic stop was not possible. There were two things that this kit helped with. The first was more stopping power with less effort (like over the handlebars if you're not careful), and the second was a massive reduction in sponginess at the leavers when the brakes made contact (so much energy was lost in those crappy original cables!). It was well worth the money to upgrade!.
