Hello, our helmet mount is made of strong metal steel, has been tested, and is installed with strong screws. It can support a weight of 50 pounds.
No, the top of the helmet frame has a circular design, which allows the helmet to hang for ventilation and drying, effectively preventing the adhesive and foam deterioration of the helmet.
This helmet rack has a 4-inch top circle. This size is 7 inches in diameter, and you can use it to determine whether or not you can hang your fursuit head from it. I hope my response has been of assistance to you.
This helmet mount is one piece, will not rust, and can be removed if you want to move it after it has been installed.

They work great, but I do put some padding on the ring to keep the insides of the helmets from being damaged. They're more than capable of standing up to the test of time.
Because the helmet adds a lot of cantilevered force to the mount, I wouldn't rely on drywall alone to keep it in place, even with the drywall anchors that came with it. I mounted mine to a piece of board, which I then bolted to a rack or secured to a wall stud for a more secure installation. The only concern I have is how well the weld connecting the bar to the backing plate will hold up over time, as I commute on my motorcycle. I'll update the review if I have any issues.
Hangers aren't very sturdy and can bend with significant force. Having said that, each hanger is more than capable of holding my jacket and helmet.
These helmet hangars served their purpose admirably. I gave it a 4 out of 5 for value because it was just bent metal with a flange mount. If they had sent three hangars for the same price, I would have given them a five out of five. These are my personal opinions.
When I got them, some of them were bent, but I bent them back and they were fine.
This item was purchased to display my Iron Man helmet from Marvel Legends. To keep the manikin heads from sliding off, I had to put them on the end. The helmets I'm wearing have a lot of weight in the front. But, aside from that, everything went smoothly.
It's a pretty simple hanger/display. There is nothing special about this. Helmets can be stored here, and riding jackets and pants can be hung.
