Buying this helmet as a backup or regular helmet is worth your money if you can get it for less than $50
4/5

Here are some facts that I want to clarify before I get into more details about this helmet The helmet is not worth buying if it is priced more than $50. The price is not necessary at all since this helmet is always at that price or lower, it simply isn't worth that price at all. In any case, it's a great helmet that should be a backup or main helmet for under $45! Personally, I bought it to use during the winter season. The sizing on several high end helmets is perfect for summer, when I'm just wearing a skull cap to redirect sweat, but I'm unable to use them under winter caps or specifically balaclavas since they're so big. To keep a variety of helmets on hand, I have a number of lower-end, large helmets on hand. As a main helmet, this helmet is also absolutely capable. We will now go into more detail as to why this product is a good buy if you are willing to pay at or under $45 but not at retail price 1.

You cannot compare it to a high end Giro helmet under any circumstance, as some people like to claim if you have read about this helmet elsewhere. There's nothing terribly wrong with this helmet. It looks nice, it doesn't look like junk, but make no mistake, it is a budget helmet. My shirt looks a little oversized, even though I bought it a size large. There is no doubt it looks bulkier than the original. Please see 2. Even though it comes with Roc Loc 5 fitting in the back, which is awesome, it has very awkward plastic tabs on the sides to adjust. There are a lot of adjustment tabs on the sides, which can be frustrating to tinker with to get the fit exactly right. The side tabs on Roc Loc 5 are horrible, but the overall product is awesome. 1.

3. The weight on my scale is 312 grams. I wouldn't call it terrible but I would call it a little heavy on the side. A very minimal amount of padding is used inside. The room isn't cold, but it's a bit 3.

4. I bought a matte black design that looks nice but is not premium. As such, to be blunt, this looks every bit like a low-budget Giro/Bell helmet option with the awesome Roc Loc 5 retention system. My intention is not to knock this helmet I own one myself and like it - I just want anyone who is considering purchasing it to understand what they are purchasing. The Giro X3 helmet contains a super retention system, Giro's excellent safety record, and a decent design that looks great and is worth it for the price if you get won't get is a budget helmet that resembles Giro's high dollar helmets in any way. In other reviews on other sites, I saw it being described as looking like a Giro Synthe. That was understandable, but I wanted to be clear about it. That helmet is also mine, and this helmet has no features similar to the Synthe or similar to the look. It is a helmet that should retail for $45 so you can find it for that price or less. You should definitely do it if you can!.

If there were better straps, this product would be perfect
4/5

This is a great helmet for the price. If you're looking for a cheap commuter helmet or something that you're not going to wear for hours on end, this would be a great choice. The helmet that you see here is one of the less ridiculous looking ones, but I don't think there is such a thing as a good looking helmet. I like that it's very light and A simple system of adjusting the system - There is a knob in the back that can be turned to tighten the strap. While riding, even with gloves on, it's easy to adjust the fit. This helmet looks great in white. IMO, it's one of the more visible colors in most situations. This is the first time I've seen you It's my first helmet but I've seen viz helmets before and they fade over time.

I only have one complaint- the straps are really uncomfortable. You cannot put them flat on your face since they are made with such an assembly. It always seems as though they're catching the wind sideways. I don't mind that on short rides, but on longer rides it is a bit annoying. You get crazy if you ride for a long time. It is also impossible for me to adjust the strap knob so that it is right below my ear as I am able to I have either the strap in front of my ear or the one behind my ear that's The straps are bad too, which could be slightly annoying or a major issue, depending on the ride's duration. The helmet is great when it comes to everything except the straps.

This helmet is very uncomfortable to wear
3/5

In addition, It appears from reading several reviews that this helmet is not very comfortable and that Louis garneau helmets are far superior to this one. Since there were so many negative reviews about the Giro, I decided to still buy it. In comparison with any other helmet I have ever used, it was very difficult to adjust the straps. This helmet did dig into my head when I dropped into it, but the worst part was the back of it digging into my skull during It was evident that the Louie G helmet made a difference from the competition helmets I had previously owned. As a result, I decided to post this video so you could see what the insides of both of the helmets look like. The Luigi helmet, in particular, has much more padding throughout, including in the back area where This Luigi does not have the two plastic inserts that were digging into my head, as you can see from the video. There is just something about Luigi helmets that appeals to me. I was able to wash and rotate the inserts inside the unit since it came with special padding. I really like the way Louie G helmet feels on my head. The reviews I've done on these two helmets may help those out there who may be trying to decide what to get.

I saved my head thanks to Giro Foray The second day of the 150 mile Bike MS charity ride started with me diving at 20 mph after hitting a non-existent pot hole A pothole that is clearly visible
5/5

In this fall, I hit my head on the concrete and my Giro Foray helmet did its job, protecting my head while I was running. I didn't sustain a MIPS may or may not have prevented the concussion, but it seems to have worked in my case and I am continuing to use GOLIAS with MIPS in the future in this way. Considering comfort, it is important to remember that "comfort" is a very personal matter, based on the size and shape of the individual's head. After even five (5) hours of riding, I find that it's just as comfortable as if it were only It is quite reasonable to ventilate even as the temperatures approach the upper 80s.
