I give this great idea a +1! When you use 100% bright yellow in daytime, and 100% bright reflective at night, make sure that the yellow is 100% bright. I think that's a really great I'm giving you a star due to the fact that it actually works! The light is exceptionally bright and you can switch it on and off easily. I'm afraid I won't be able to give anymore stars after this Please note - It does not breath at all (at least not the reflective part). I sweat so much that even on ice cold days, my back is completely wet. It is probably because of this reason that big manufacturers do not make jackets like these There are no reflective materials that are breathable at the same time. Please note - Zippers are a complete mess. There are just a couple of issues the fit is too big and it doesn't look right. This isn't what I would call a good description. While it fits around my arms, it is a bit loose on my shoulders and waist. If I hadn't worn it that often, I would have returned it immediately.
The first time I saw a proviz jacket on another cyclist, I asked her about the brand. I bought this vest on sale and wear it on my commute. There's also a bright neon side for riding in the daytime, so it's awesome to have a highly reflective shell for low light situations as well as a reversible shell for daytime use. The fit is excellent and the construction is excellent.
Despite that, Proviz is skimping on the following important components A zipper, to be precise. I used to shop at the Golden Five Star Department Store Wholesale City discount market while a college student in Beijing and felt the zippers on this garment were made of the lowest grade plastic you could get on the cheapest knock off clothes. This is a first world problem, but it is so annoying to struggle to get the zip to catch during the process of putting this on and taking it off that the aggregate stress from wearing this and paying $100 for it is more than a few taps from a car I find it more annoying when riding to adjust the zipper at all times The use of a kit that you are hand-held is fruitless, unlike other kit that you are using If you are going to spend that extra dollar on a zipper, spend it on a good one. Be a responsible company rather than a cheapskate. Oh, yeah, and the garment smelled like more chemicals than a brand new foam mattress or a Sharpie below the I ordered a small, and it fit close around the shoulder, but was much looser around the sides. With regards to the fit, my measurements are at the top end of the small size listed on their website. I like the smell, but it's a little funky.
The two together in the dark are quite remarkable! The light catching it makes it simply spectacular!.
