Questions & Answers
Yes, the liner and shorts are separate, which will make wearing them more comfortable. For those who aren't familiar, It'll feel like you're wearing a diaper if it's not attached.
The removable option is, of course, preferable. The pad would not stay under my butt after standing to pedal for those who have the liner attached to their shorts.
The Mat? Is it the pad you're talking about? No, it's quite soft and pleasant to wear. The shorts are oversized and extremely comfy.
I'm six feet tall with a 32-inch inseam and above-the-knee shorts.

Excellent value for money and customer service. I originally purchased these and returned them because the 2xl liner was too large in comparison to the outer shorts, which were on the small side for a 2xl. After returning them, I gave them a three-star rating and wrote, "I didn't care for the pad. " br>About a month later, I received a message from the seller, stating that they wanted everyone to be happy with their product and offering to send a replacement free of charge if I wanted to try them again. I accepted their offer, but only under one condition. "Please send an xl liner with a 2xl outer short," I requested, and they gladly obliged. I received them about a week later, and they fit perfectly. I will buy more from this company solely because of their excellent customer service and dedication to quality. This type of gesture isn't seen very often these days, which makes it all the more meaningful.
I'm a dude, 5'9'' and 190 pounds, to give you an idea of my size. I usually wear a 33'' waist in jeans, so I went with the Large size and it's perfect. Legs are about mid-knee length, with a comfortable inseam that isn't too short to catch on a bike saddle. The fabric feels high-end, similar to what you'd find in much more expensive MTB shorts from major brands. I've only driven about 80 miles on them so far, but they still look brand new and appear to be durable. They're a little tighter than other MTB shorts I've owned, but they're not uncomfortable or flashy like road bike spandex, so I'm happy with them. Overall, I'm very pleased with them, and I plan to purchase another pair soon. br>br>My only complaint is that the gel pad in the spandex is a little wider than I'd like; it doesn't chafe when riding, so I'm not taking away any stars, but it does show a little through the shorts, making walking or running less than ideal. Regardless, I didn't purchase these to run in, so I'm satisfied. They're still comfortable and durable enough to ride in.
This type of equipment is expensive in local bike shops, so the price was fantastic. So far, the outer shorts have held up well after several washes, but the padded liner shorts' stitching around the leg hem is already coming undone. They're wearable, but they're a little disappointing, which is why I didn't give them a five-star rating. The outer shorts have a number of useful zipped pockets for keys and cell phones.
I bought these for my husband to use while biking, and he really likes them, especially the fact that the underwear and shorts are separate. When he bikes, he wears them together, but when kayaking, he wears the shorts alone because they are water resistant and quick drying. This is a book that I would strongly advise you to read.
br>I'm pleased with my purchase.
I was worried that the pad would make me look like I was wearing a diaper, but the shorts hide the padding so well that no one would notice. I'll be ordering another pair because the size chart was accurate.
When the stitching began to fail, I requested a new pair from the company's customer service department. This pair is a step up from the previous pair I bought. The shorts are far superior to the originals, and they have the same great fit and feel as the originals. If you're looking for MTB shorts, the upgraded model is a good option because it's made to last and feels great.
The pad was a little hard at first, but after a few rides, I decided to leave a review. My old riding shorts, which cost probably three times as much as these, finally gave up the ghost after several years. One thing about these shorts that I didn't like at first is that the liner has no way of attaching to the shorts. This isn't a big deal, but I believe it prevents the layers from staying in sync, as the other layer can ride up or down on the liner. My first ride was a little concerning because the pad was a little stiff; I didn't have any chaffing issues, but it was noticeably hard; however, by my third ride, the pad had broken in and the shorts felt fantastic. I think the first thing I noticed when I put them on was how light the outer layer felt. br>br>Overall, I'll probably buy another pair or two of these so I don't have to do laundry in between rides. Time will tell how long they last, but for the price, I believe they will be worthwhile even if they only last a year or two.
