Hi Jennifer, what a pleasure to hear from you. There is no problem with washing and drying them in a machine. The only thing you need to make sure is that they are dryed on a low setting. If you dry them on a high setting, they may turn out ruined. Due to their wicking properties, they will dry fast if they are hung out to dry. The socks are used both when I work out and when I cycle. There is never a chance of slipping! Following my first attempt with Swiftwick socks for cycling, I threw away all of my other underwear and socks for running and cycling, switching exclusively to Swiftwick socks because they are the best quality socks I've ever tried. When I started running in 2012, I was one of their first monthly subscription members. I had more Swiftwick socks than I could remember what to do with them. I donated a lot of them because there were so many. As I mentioned, I just bought my first pair of 6-inch shoes Despite only having 2 pairs of swiftwick socks, my laundry lady has lost one sock that belongs to two different pairs of socks, and I only wear them for running, casual, and dress occasions. As far as socks go, I have absolutely none. There are many older Swiftwicks that have been washed 100s (if not thousands) of times and have never failed me. They have been used for cycling and running a lot and have been washed many times. This pair feels SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much softer than the previous ones, it makes me want to buy an entire new supply There is absolutely no brand of sock I would wear other than this one.

A medium should have been my size according to the sizing chart. I just received this pair of medium and I found out it's larger than the large pair I already have. The sides by the little and big toe are also thick from the stitching, and this is uncomfortable. This problem does not exist with the large. This pair and the big pair are identical in every aspect, so I do not understand why there is a difference.
