I finally got a chance to wear these on a bike ride, and I was worried they would fall down when I first put them on. When I go for a bike ride, I usually put on compression socks. I'm pleased to report that these socks stayed exactly where I placed them. The cuff is absolutely gorgeous. The socks were damp when I got home and removed my bike shoes, but my feet were dry. During an 18-mile ride, the socks didn't bunch up, crease, or move, so I'm pleased with them and plan to wear them more often once the weather cools down.
Even when cycling, almost all of my socks are wool. These were included in a package deal, so I tried them. They're fine, but they get slick when my feet sweat a lot, which they do. I occasionally wear them (though I prefer my wool), but I wouldn't buy a pair of these on their own. For my sweaty feet, I'll stick to wool athletic socks.

Since they're not just for cycling, I got them for running as well. These are a perfect fit. I have small feet (size 8) and socks like these are usually either too big or too small for me. These, on the other hand, are a perfect match: They're neither too loose nor too tight. The red heel sits perfectly in place and does not bunch up. The arch support is just right without being constricting; You can tell it's giving you some compression without making you feel too constrained. I like how long these are, almost like a crew sock, and how close they come to my calf. br>br>These were incredibly light and didn't cause any chafing in my running shoes. Even though they were damp, they remained extremely cool. This is the most difficult review for me to write because I have no strong feelings about these socks. I suppose they're fine. br>br>For my bike rides, I just wear my regular white socks. I wanted to see if wearing "cycling socks" would help me ride more comfortably or improve my skills. My rides are usually two hours long. It's a four-hour ride with a few hundred-mile rides thrown in for good measure. I've done a couple of 2-hour projects with these socks. Rides last three hours. It's socks, so there's nothing to report here. br>br>They are extremely light and breathable. I don't usually get sweaty on my feet, so I'm not sure if the lightness of these socks will help or not. br>br>One thing that appeals to me is the design. They have a cool look to them. I'm not much of a fashionista, but these socks have a nice look to them. br>br>One thing I don't like: the photo shows them pulled up on my calf as far as they can go. I'm 5'9". They start slipping down my calf quickly and easily, which can be distracting while riding. Overall, I like the fit and comfort of these socks for mountain biking in warm weather. They're fairly thin, which I like.
