They are US sizes, but mine were a little too small for me. It fit perfectly after I went up one size. This jacket is very nice since it is made well, has good zippers, is waterproof and comfortable to wear on a bike.
The chances of washing rainwear are slim, but I don't recommend it. As an alternative, rinse thoroughly and use mild detergent if required

Sierra Designs made a similar but now discontinued light jacket that I've been fans of for decades. A larger number of pockets and better venting make this jacket an improvement over the SD design. I was pleasantly surprised to see vents under the armpits, which were previously only found on jackets that were considerably more expensive. There might be a chance this jacket will be a bit too waterproof for me, since the rain here only occurs rarely, and only for a few months out In other words, even a jacket with good venting can trap moisture on the inside rather than let it come in from the exterior. During a windy bike ride yesterday, however, I didn't encounter this problem The only time I stopped at a store was when I did my shopping. I highly recommend this book.
This jacket is waterproof. As far as price goes, it's a good buy. In an ideal world, a jacket with complete ventilation would be better. Material costs are too high for those types of jackets. We do not have the resources to spend hundreds on material that is breathable. It is worth the money to buy this high quality jacket.
