They work really well for me and I really like them. The pros are Those shoes fit perfectly over the row on my men's US size 11 work shoes. Their Velcro closure makes them easy to put on, and their ease of use makes getting a comfortable fit a no-brainer. This packable and light product is extremely portable. The cons are Since I live in an area where it doesn't rain that much, I feel the price is a bit steep.
We had an old pair of these that wore out over a period of five years. Once again, I purchased the same size. This is a whole lot bigger than it should be. It is also less durable than it used to be.
We were able to use it in the rain pretty well. After three days, the shoes are still dry About 4 hours. This bottom is open and made from a flexible fabric similar to crosslinks. You don't want to chafe your skin with the Velcro in the back of the suit. Wear long(er) socks or pants so it doesn't scratch your leg. I am satisfied with the overall outcome.
While on a bike tour in France, one of my husband's friends gave him a pair of these. In a downpour, he said that they worked well. As well, it was easy to put on and take off compared with cycling shoes that are designed to be locked to pedals.
There is a size 10 in me. I can wear them with most of my casual shoes and they fit well. For cycling shoes, I suspect they would be a bit large.
The clothing I was wearing today was so loose-fitting, I was embarrassed to wear it. If they kept my feet warm, I could have endured that embarrassment however, they have fallen short in this area as well The socks would probably keep your feet dry if it was raining, but they lack warmth and don't provide any.
The rainy day finally gave me a chance to try this out. The majority of the work was done. The shoe gets wet from underneath, so water comes up from beneath and soaks the whole thing. It was easier to take them off that way so I was less wet. If I had to use these again, I would go for something with a full cover.
Although it might work for someone who wants a loose match cover, it is not shaped, formed, or fabricated to be a proper cycling shoe cover, and unfortunately I didn't return it in a timely manner.
